You'll carry out a full range of plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance to a high standard across tenanted and empty properties.\nAbout us\nWe are a social housing landlord and one of the largest housing providers in the region with over 22,000 social and affordable homes, mainly in the Bradford district. Our customers sit at the heart of what we do, and our colleagues are the people who’ll help us achieve our vision, which is to create the best customer experience to improve everyday lives.\nDuties include:\nCarry out a full range of plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance to a high standard across tenanted and empty properties. \nDeliver work across responsive repairs, planned maintenance programmes, void turnaround, and mechanical services. \nDiagnose faults and identify effective repair solutions across water systems, drainage, pipework, fixtures, and fittings. \nAct as the first point of contact on site, assessing issues and determining whether work can be completed or requires escalation. \nApply a right-first-time approach to improve service efficiency and reduce repeat visits.\nCarry out associated works such as pipework, drainage, guttering, sanitary installations, and minor multi-trade tasks where appropriate. \nWork collaboratively with other trades to support multi-trade jobs and effective property maintenance. \nCommunicate clearly with customers, explaining work undertaken and managing expectations professionally. \nMaintain accurate job records, system updates, and documentation (e.g. DRS). \nSupport the development of apprentices/trainees and share best practice within the team. \nTravel across the operational area (and occasionally beyond) to meet service demands.\nRequirements\nNVQ Level 2 in plumbing or equivalent qualification.\nMust be experienced in the use of such tools, plant equipment and materials as are applicable in his/her specialism and the general activities of the construction industry.\nHave relevant experience in plumbing maintenance works including guttering, remove pipe boxing and tiling.\nExperience in site work, refurbishments, day to day maintenance work, soil, vent & underground drainage, lead flashings.\nHave a full set of tools.\nAbility to carry out the allocated tasks to the highest level of skill in the appropriate specialism.\nHonest, courteous, diligent, punctual.\nAbility to communicate at all levels in a professional and courteous manner.\nHold a full UK driving licence and demonstrate a competence to drive a large vehicle (van)\nRight to work in the UK, visa sponsorship is not available. \nA basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for the successful candidate as part of the pre-employment process -Criminal Conviction Checks\nBenefits\nSalary of £38,160 per year (37 hours per week)\nSocial Housing Pension Scheme with up-to 10% employers contribution \n28 days annual leave that increases with service plus bank holidays \nOption to buy and sell annual leave \nTraining, development, and qualification opportunities\nOur Hub: our wellbeing and benefits site, with exclusive access to discounts and savings (at over 800 retailers)\nCorporate health scheme membership\nAccess to an Employee Assistance Programme\nCycle to work scheme\nLocal gym membership discounts.\nA team of trained Mental Health First Aiders who are available for colleagues to contact for support\nJoin Our Team!\nWe’re looking for great people to join us!
