Hey! Nice to see you!
At Incubly, we believe that great people want to work with great people. We build teams and environments where talented engineers can grow, create meaningful solutions, and enjoy the journey together. Our mission is to support tech companies and scaleups in growing their teams quickly and with quality, while boosting product development, testing, and deployment.
We are currently partnering with a large company from the media and entertainment sector that is transforming selected areas of infrastructure management, deployment automation, testing automation, and developer environments toward a Platform Engineering model.
One of the first initiatives in this transformation is to introduce a structured approach to infrastructure automation based on Infrastructure as Code and GitOps, and to build a recovery-ready cloud environment that increases operational resilience.
We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer who will combine architectural support with hands-on implementation. In this role, you will help design IaC and GitOps mechanisms for managing environments, build engineering standards and automation, implement AWS infrastructure in Terraform, prepare operational documentation and runbooks, and support knowledge transfer to the client team.
Your daily responsibilities
- Provide architectural support in designing Infrastructure as Code and GitOps mechanisms for managing environments
- Support the design of a recovery / failover environment aligned with agreed priorities, scope, and resilience assumptions
- Prepare and structure Terraform repositories, reusable modules, and working standards for infrastructure delivery
- Define and implement engineering standards such as branching strategy, pull request review flow, approvals, naming conventions, and tagging standards
- Build CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure as Code, including plan on pull request, apply after merge with approvals, validations, and security / quality scans
- Implement AWS infrastructure in Terraform, including networking, IAM, Kubernetes platform components, load balancing and scaling mechanisms, storage and file transfer services, DNS and certificates, edge protection, and backup-related elements
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders on implementation priorities, technical trade-offs, and delivery sequencing
- Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks for the target environment
- Plan and execute an MVP recovery test scenario, validate assumptions, and document lessons learned
- Support handover and knowledge transfer to the client team
- Continuously improve maintainability, security, repeatability, and operational readiness of the platform
We need you to have
- Strong experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering roles
- Hands-on expertise with AWS in production environments
- Strong practical knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code design patterns
- Experience defining engineering standards for infrastructure repositories and collaborative delivery workflows
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure as Code with automated validation and controlled deployment flows
- Good knowledge of GitOps principles and version-controlled environment management
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS
- Good understanding of AWS services such as VPC, IAM, load balancing, autoscaling, object storage, DNS, certificate management, CDN / edge security, and managed database or backup patterns
- Understanding of resilience, failover, backup / restore, and environment recovery concepts in cloud platforms
- Ability to write clear technical documentation and operational runbooks
- Strong ownership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently
- Good Polish communication skills for collaboration with local stakeholders
Would be great if you have
- Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux
- Experience with policy-as-code, IaC validation, and security scanning tools such as TFLint, Checkov, tfsec, or OPA
- Experience designing or implementing secondary / recovery environments in AWS
- Experience working in transformation programs related to Platform Engineering or internal developer platforms
- Knowledge of backup and restore strategies for stateful services and data platforms
What you can expect from the role
- A highly hands-on role with real influence on infrastructure standards and automation foundations
- A mix of architecture support and engineering delivery in a modern AWS environment
- Work on a meaningful platform transformation initiative from an early stage
- Close collaboration with engineering and client teams
- Opportunity to shape reusable standards, workflows, and documentation that will be adopted by the wider organization
