We are a pet-focused underwriter with deep insurance industry experience, offering a product with proven consumer appeal.\nJob Summary:\nIndependence American Insurance Company (IAIC) is seeking a Data Analyst who will support the build-out of Earnix rates, rules and rate order calculations. Additionally, they will perform statistical modeling and analysis of structured and unstructured datasets to develop metrics, reports, and visualizations of trends and patterns.\nJob Location: Hybrid - New York City, NY or Scottsdale, AZ\nMain Responsibilities:\nRate Deployment & Online Execution (Primary Focus)\nOwn the end-to-end actuarial rate deployment process within the Earnix environment, from approval readiness through to successful release of rates.\nDeploy pricing versions (rules, models, and rates) from the analytical environment into production using Earnix Online Execution.\nValidation, Controls & Governance\nPerform pre-deployment actuarial validation.\nReview and approve deployment summaries generated by Earnix.\nMaintain audit traceability across versions, approvals, and deployment events to support regulatory and internal governance requirements.\nEnvironment & Release Management\nCoordinate deployment activities across environments (Analytical, Staging/UAT, Production), supporting UAT sign-off and controlled production releases.\nParticipate in release planning for pricing changes\nAct as the actuarial interface with IT, change management, and policy administration teams during rate releases-while retaining actuarial ownership of pricing logic.\nOngoing Production Support\nMonitor post-deployment performance by reviewing live rating behavior and address production issues.\nSupport rapid corrective redeployments where required, leveraging Earnix’s business-owned deployment capability to minimize time-to-market.\nData Analysis\nCollaborates with stakeholders to understand and define business requirements for operational and analytical reports.\nCollects, analyzes, and interprets data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.\nPerforms data cleansing, validation, and document data definitions. Establishes business rules and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports.\nDesigns, develops, and maintains interactive dashboards, visualizations, and reports using business intelligence tools.\nUses analytics and metrics to improve processes and provide data-driven forecasts of potential costs, risks, and profiles of new business initiatives.\nQueries and manipulates data using SQL to extract and transform data from databases.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support ad-hoc data analysis requests.\nPresents findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)\n3 years’ relevant experience\nCompensation\nBase pay range: $74,122 - $92,653 per year. This is the range we reasonably expect to pay at hire. Placement within the range depends on job-related factors such as experience, skills, and certifications. This position is not eligible for bonus or incentive pay.
