The role will assist the Technical Shared Services team in improving current processes, implementing new products, and automating solutions to achieve maximum efficiency.\nThe Developer will be responsible for engaging with business operations owners to determine and operationalize technical requests including developing technical specification and technical project plans and providing regular feedback on progress. The Developer will communicate systems expertise to develop and maintain the technical solutions that meet the business needs.\nQualifications\nAssociates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. An additional two (2) years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.\nThree (3) years of experience designing and developing software with the ability to design and implement reusable objects required.\nExperience with developing .NET web applications, SQL programming language/query/reporting/scripting/access database conversions, SSRS, SSIS and various programming languages and tools preferred.\nExperience working with healthcare data, ANSI X12 and HIPAA standard formats preferred.\nExperience supporting business applications required.\nExperience with File Transfer Protocols, scripting, encryption and SSH.\nWorking knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, and network configurations.\nSolid organizational and time management skills.\nAbility to work as part of a team or to be self-directed as required.\nSolid understanding of System Development Life Cycle methodology.\nExperience in the following a plus: AWS, SharePoint, Salesforce, Tidal\nUnderstanding of project management as well as Agile Methodology.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nAbility to gather, comprehend and document technical requirements.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and assume accountability.\nProven examples of displaying Nova’s Core 4: Act with Passion, Work Together, Be Accountable, Build Trust.\nEssential Accountabilities\nApplication Development\nDemonstrate good analytical abilities, technical, and development skills.\nEnsure coding standards meet efficiency performance standards.\nManage testing of all system functions and data accuracy (coordinate with appropriate business SME’s).\nPrepare and provide technical specifications, training and other system documentation as required.\nDepartment Support\nProvide on-site monitoring for application of Information Technology concepts. Perform quality assurance checks to ensure proficiency. \nMaintain departmental goals.\nCustomer Support\nTranslate customer needs into technical requirements.\nManage revisions to technical requirements.\nEnsure customer requests for information are addressed and follow-up occurs in a timely manner.\nEnsure testing and data accuracy/integrity.\nGain customer satisfaction, ensure customer understanding.\nBusiness and Data Knowledge\nTake necessary steps to understand business objectives of departments in order to develop appropriate solutions.\nEvaluate and recommend application systems, interfaces, reports, etc. that can improve department’s environment.\nChange Management\nUnderstand Release Management and Application Lifecycle Management.\nFollow Change Management methodology.\nEnsure correct documentation updates as necessary.\nEnsure backout procedures.\nMinimize negative business impact.\nEnsure system/data integrity.\nReporting\nCreate reports and analyze existing reports to provide quality feedback and identify trends as needed to develop ongoing business strategy and opportunities.\nLogical Access\nEnsure minimum necessary access to application and data.\nEnsure proper authentication/authorization where applicable.\nEnsure data encryption where applicable.\nThis is a hybrid position with onsite attendance required at our Williamsville location.\nImmigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position\nHiring Compensation Range: $70,000 - $95,000 annually\nCompensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience.\nIn addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off.
