You will use programming, data science, and computational techniques to develop and refine algorithms, analyze large datasets, and create visualizations that support data-driven decision-making.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nPerform tasks associated with Big Data platform management \nAnalyze large and complex datasets using programming and analytical techniques \nDevelop prototype algorithms to address mission-specific analytical problems \nImplement, test, and refine algorithms to improve analytical performance \nClean, transform, and prepare data for analysis \nBuild and automate data-processing and analytical workflows \nApply statistical, computational, and data science techniques to complex problems \nDevelop data visualizations to communicate analytical results \nDocument analytical methodologies, algorithms, and findings \nCollaborate with technical and mission teams to support operational objectives\n\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:\n Experience working with Big Data platforms or large-scale data environments \nProgramming experience supporting data analysis or algorithm development \nExperience developing, implementing, or refining analytical algorithms \nExperience analyzing large or complex datasets \nExperience with data manipulation, processing, and transformation \nExperience developing data visualizations and communicating analytical results \nStrong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills \nAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team\n\nEducation and Experience:\n\nCandidates must meet one of the following:\n Bachelor's degree with three (3) years of relevant experience; OR \nAssociate's degree with five (5) years of relevant experience \nDegree should be in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.\n\nDegrees in Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Physical Sciences, or other scientific disciplines with a strong computational, mathematics, or computer science background may also be considered.\n\nCandidates with other degree disciplines may qualify if they have earned a Data Science certificate from an accredited college or university.\n\nRelevant experience may include machine learning, data science, advanced analytics, statistical analysis, programming, data management, data mining, data modeling, artificial intelligence, or software engineering.\n\nClearance Requirement:\n Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role\n\nWhy Choose Independent Software:\n\nAt Independent Software, our people are the mission.
