You will learn to understand and communicate what the system does, how and why the system was designed, the implication of changes, the boundary conditions and the risks inherent in the system both internally and externally. You will take overall technical responsibility for a small system, when assigned as Project Engineer.\nCarry out, under supervision, system design and document (where required) as follows. It is expected that an engineer at this level may specialise in one or two of these areas.\nWhen assigned as Project Engineer for a proposal:\nTechnical description\nThird party equipment definitions\nA statement of compliance\nDiagrams and drawings\nCalculations (range predictions, co-location etc.)\nNon-Standards, options and equipment configuration\nWhen assigned as Project Engineer for a particular contract:\nCarry out the technical contract review documentation\nProvide clarification of technical requirements, if necessary, with functional specifications\nReview system drawings and diagrams\nProvide the defining specifications\nProvide third party equipment definitions\nCarry out any required calculations\nProvide requirement specifications for new products\nGenerate the interface control documents\nDetail any non-standard items, options and equipment configuration\nRequirements\nWhat are we looking for:\nHNC/HND, degree in a relevant technical discipline, or strong A-Levels in Science and Maths. \nInterest or knowledge of RF communications systems, products, and associated technologies. \nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a logical approach to problem-solving. \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships. \nSelf-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage own workload with minimal supervision. \nPractical, hands-on approach and a proactive, can-do attitude. \nStrong customer service focus and commitment to delivering high-quality support. \nEffective team player able to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders. \nWillingness to travel when required.\nSecurity Clearance:\nBaseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
