By offering mentorship and robust Training and Development opportunities, INDUS continues its pursuit to be the Employer of Choice.\nReporting to the Program Manager, the CVN Modernization Planner will provide support to the Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic (CNAL) Future Readiness Officer in the areas of Combat Systems Engineering principles, theories, concepts, techniques, and systems integration aboard U.S. Navy Ships by serving as the Modernization Manager for all In-Service, Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH), and New Construction Aircraft Carriers.\nThis is a contingent position expected to be located in Norfolk, VA. The pay range for the position will be provided at the time the position is no longer contingent.\nWhat You'll Do\nProvide assistance to resolve difficulties in SCD processing.\nAssist in the reconciliation of TYCOM funding between CRM & NDE Mod Plan.\nUpdate and maintain the CRM.\nMaintain SCD development master.\nProvide SCD development team guidance.\nReview current availability MRAs, identify any TYCOM SCDs/alterations that request programming/status changes.\nProvide list of requested programming/status changes to Modernization Coordinator.\nAttend meetings between COMNAVAIRLANT/COMNAVAIRPAC Modernization Manager, Ship TRIADs, and PMS 312C (CPA) Ship Life Cycle Managers (SLCMs). Provide any programming changes from these meetings to Modernization Coordinator and PMS 312C Modernization Branch.\nReview and provide updates to the TAT review priority list.\nAssist the Future Readiness Officer/ Modernization Manager in the 0-6 Board Voting Planner for all CVN SCDs (program and fleet).\nMaintains list of CVN SCDs which need to be voted on.\nCoordinate with the Modernization Manager and Modernization Coordinator to ensure NDE-NM alignment with the NDE-EP Fielding Plan and the Change Request Master (CRM).\nBid and proposal support if requested.\nOther duties as assigned.\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications:\nAn active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.\nHS Diploma required.\nMinimum of six (6) years’ experience accessing and experience in the use of Navy Data Environment (NDE) for Ship Change Documents (SCD).\nMinimum of six (6) years’ experience creating and organizing large volumes of information (Excel, Access, etc.) in support of Navy modernization and/or maintenance efforts.\nMinimum of six (6) years’ experience working with modernization planning products such as CBAs, SCDs, MRAs, NDE-NM, NDE-EP Fielding Plan, and the Change Request Master (CRM) as well as experience briefing senior naval officers and civilians with regard to these items.\nMust possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills. \nDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills. \nDemonstrated problem-solving skills. \nMust possess strong time management skills. \nMust be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.\nTravel Required ~25% travel required.\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.\nDesired Qualifications:\n Active Navy Data Environment (NDE) account and experience in Haystack Gold (or equivalent), MBPS Windchill, eLAR/SPAR/SPLI, eShock, and other eForms modules desired.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time.
