By offering mentorship and robust Training and Development opportunities, INDUS continues its pursuit to be the Employer of Choice.\nThe Shore and Expeditionary Integration Program Office (PMW 790) is acquiring support services in the areas of production systems engineering, logistics, installation management, and integration/planning/requirements services for the architecture, integration, acquisition, and support of multiple shore and expeditionary Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) programs. PMW 790's mission is to acquire, integrate, deliver, and support interoperable shore-based C4I capabilities for the warfighter. PMW 790’s vision is to be the preeminent provider of integrated shore-based transformational Network Centric Warfare capabilities to the warfighter by providing assured connectivity between tactical forces and higher commands. The overarching goal is to ensure C4I systems programmed for installation on Navy ships have matching shore facilities of appropriate capacity to support Fleet deployments worldwide. Our goal is to migrate the shore sites and their terrestrial interconnections into a coherent, scalable, network-centric communications and multiplexing fabric designed to optimize functionality by effecting improvements that both satisfy current shortfalls and, wherever possible, provide the building blocks for future C4I architecture.\nReporting to the Program Manager, the Drafter / CAD Operator designs utilizing computer-aided drafting software to prepare installation drawings on the PMW 790 Shore and Expeditionary Integration Program Office Planning and Logistics Support Services contract.\nThis contingent posting is for upcoming opportunities at INDUS Technology, Inc. This position is expected to be located in San Diego, CA.\nWhat You'll Do\nSupport Systems Engineers and Senior AutoCAD specialists with Installation Requirements Drawings (IRD), Installation Design Plans (IDP), and As-Built drawings.Specific tasking includes: Support IRD, IDP, and As-Built drawing development.\n\nReview IRDs, IDPs, and As-Builts to ensure compliance with applicable standards (SIPH and IRD).\nConduct IDP and IRD reviews to ensure hardware installations are documented in detail and provide necessary guidance for a successful installation.\nConduct surveys of shore sites in support of drawing development efforts.\nProvide guidance to other IRD and IDP developers and reviewers in formal and informal settings; and compile and distribute installation lessons learned related to shore engineering drawing packages to benefit future shore installations.\nBe responsible to various data calls to provide requested information, including research, gathering, sorting, and presentation.\nBid and proposal support if requested.\nOther duties as assigned.\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications:\nAn active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.\nHS Diploma required.\nOne (1) year of experience in creating AutoCAD drawings such as network interconnectivity diagrams, floor plans, elevations, building plans, landscapes, maps, electrical, electronic and mechanical details.\nExperience updating existing AutoCAD drawing \"red lines\" to current state.\nRequires organization skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas visually.\nAbility to apply basic math skills to compute scaling and formulas.\nAbility to read, understand, and interpret technical documents.\nAbility to perform job duties under deadlines/scheduling commitments.\nMust possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills. \nDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills. \nDemonstrated problem-solving skills. \nMust possess strong time management skills. \nMust be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.\nTravel Required ~10% travel required.\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.\nDesired Qualifications:\nBachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in engineering or a related technical field is desired.\nExperience with the following is desired:SPAWAR Shore Installation Handbook version 4.1\nInstallation Database (SPIDER and IMO Tracker)\nSPAWAR 4.2 Formatting checklist version 4.1\nFRCB standards and processes\nMilitary training and background in Advanced Electronics fields.\nFamiliarity with networking diagrams, concepts, and components.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.\nINDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $23.00 - $33.00 per hour.
