This role supports ship repair and maintenance by tracking material requirements, coordinating procurement, managing inventory, and ensuring Long Lead Time Material (LLTM) is ordered and available in accordance with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) milestones and maintenance schedules.\nWhat You'll Do\nReview material requirements from Third-Party Planners (3PP) in Material Requirements (MRQT), tracking LLTM, critical-path materials, parts, and assemblies to support 50%, 80%, and 100% JFMM ordering milestones.\nReview work specification packages and Requests for Contract Change (RCC) to identify Government-Furnished Material (GFM) and LLTM using the Navy Maintenance Database (NMD).\nIdentify alternative material sources when estimated delivery dates do not support scheduled maintenance or availability start dates.\nReview and technically edit material requirements using technical drawings, manuals, and other research tools.\nConduct market research and prepare procurement documentation for open-purchase requirements through commercial vendors.\nTrack material requisitions, open purchases, and Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP) transactions from initiation through final delivery, including required follow-up actions for National Stock Number (NSN) material.\nPerform onsite receipt inspections of LLTM, identifying damaged, missing, or inadequate material.\nPrepare inventory lists and coordinate material pulling, staging, shipping, receiving, crating, movement, and storage before Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) availabilities.\nDocument and monitor the turnover and transfer of PCMS Tiles in accordance with MARMC PCMS Tile Instruction 9740 series.\nSupport storage facility inventories and maintain accurate material records and storage locations.\nIdentify and validate excess and Future Use Material (FUM), including physical inspections at public or private shipyards as needed.\nEnter excess/FUM into Material Access Technology (MAT), prepare identification and labeling documents, and track material movement and storage locations.\nCoordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Code Managers, Project Managers, and maintenance teams to identify funding requirements and prepare purchase packages for Government approval.\nReview technical drawings and cost estimates for accuracy and compliance, coordinating with Project Managers, Shipbuilding Specialists, and other personnel to resolve discrepancies.\nSupport life cycle logistics, supply chain efficiency, cost control, and material availability for Navy ship repair and maintenance.\nDevelop material status reports, logistics metrics, cost estimates, demand forecasts, and other planning tools.\nRecommend improvements to logistics processes and assist in developing or maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nBid and proposal support if requested.\nOther duties as assigned.\nWhat You Bring\nRequired Qualifications:\nAn active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n\nMinimum six (6) years of full-time, hands-on experience with Navy shipboard supply systems, including material identification, requisitioning, MILSTRIP, and commercial open-purchase procurement.\n\nMinimum two (2) years of full-time, hands-on experience with shipboard maintenance, including Maintenance and Material Management (3M), repair, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of shipboard systems and equipment in accordance with the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM).\n\nAbility to read and interpret Allowance Parts Lists (APLs), technical manuals, technical drawings, and other shipboard maintenance documentation.\n\nExperience coordinating material requirements with Navy maintenance personnel and supporting ship repair activities.\n\nWorking knowledge of the following Navy logistics and maintenance systems:\nMaritime Systems Environment (MSE)\n\nInformation Handling Services (IHS)/HAYSTACK\n\nLOGICOM\n\nMaterial Access Technology (MAT)\n\nMaterial Requirements (MRQT)\n\nONE TOUCH\n\nE-MALL\n\nMaintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM)\n\nNavy Maintenance Database (NMD)\n\nModel Based Product Support (MBPS)\n\nProficiency with SharePoint and Microsoft Power BI.\n\nMust possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills. \nDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills. \nDemonstrated problem-solving skills. \nMust possess strong time management skills. \nMust be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.\nWork Environment and Physical Requirements\nAbility to remain seated for approximately 50% of the workday.\n\nAbility to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking as required to perform job duties.\n\nAbility to perform onsite material inspections and inventory activities in shipyard, warehouse, and maintenance environments.\n\nCompensation and Benefits\nThe expected base pay rate for this position is $32.51 per hour.
