By offering mentorship and robust Training and Development opportunities, INDUS continues its pursuit to be the Employer of Choice.\nReporting to the Program Manager, the Weapon System Interface Engineer (System Engineer) designs, develops, integrates, and maintains hardware and software interfaces used to connect undersea vehicle systems with the WAF HWIL simulator environment. This is a contingent position expected to be located in Newport, RI.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesigns and develops hardware and software interfaces for undersea vehicle and weapon system integration.\nImplements interfaces using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom hardware solutions.\nIntegrates hardware stimulators and interface drivers into the WAF simulation environment.\nTroubleshoots and repairs hardware and software interface components.\nDevelops and maintains software development tools supporting interface integration.\nSupports system integration testing and verification.\nDocuments interface designs, modifications, and integration procedures in accordance with project documentation requirements. \nBid and proposal support if requested.\nOther duties as assigned.\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications:\nAn active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.\nBachelor's degree from an accredited university is required.\nThree (3) years of experience developing customized interfaces for weapon systems utilizing commercial and custom hardware.\nFive (5) years of experience developing customized interfaces for weapon systems.\nExperience supporting hardware-in-the-loop simulators.\nExperience with signal processing interfaces or diagnostic communications systems.\nMust possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills. \nDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills. \nDemonstrated problem-solving skills. \nMust possess strong time management skills. \nMust be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time.
