In collaboration with our interdisciplinary teams, you will work within programs supporting residents who are experiencing mental health concerns and/or substance use and who require supports to maintain housing stability. To learn more, go to: www.indwell.ca \n\nHours of Work: Full Time- 40 hours per week, primarily weekdays \n\nWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: \nEnsuring designated building areas are clean and stocked with supplies by performing tasks such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents and restrooms \nExecuting heavy cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned \nNotifying supervisor/relevant team members of any observed deficiencies in the building or supplies \nKeeping supply rooms stocked and well-maintained, making the supervisor aware of any requirements \nWorking cooperatively with other team members \nProviding mentorship & supervision support to tenant employees, if applicable \nFollowing all health and safety regulations \nBeing aware of and following all agency policies and procedures \nAdditional duties as assigned \nWHAT YOU WILL BRING: \nPrior experience in Environmental Services or Janitorial work is preferred but not required \nA basic understanding of and compassion for individuals who have experienced mental health concerns and/or substance use \nA warm, sensitive, and caring approach \nAbility to maintain good interpersonal relationships and have a genuine interest in supporting people living with mental health concerns and/or substance use \nKnowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, as well as familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets \nPositive work ethic, integrity and excellent attention to detail \nAbility to work independently and cooperatively with other staff members \nFull “G” license and own vehicle \nAbility to lift 40lbs \nFocus to follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment \nComfort with appropriate sharps disposal and training in biohazard clean-up are assets \nCompliance to company policies and guidelines for cleanliness and sanitation \nA team player who is committed to upholding and modeling the standards set out in the organization’s Mission Statement and other operating standards and policies \n\nWe want you to thrive: \nVacation: 3 weeks paid with 8 HEAL days (sick and personal appointments) per year\nExtensive Benefits paid: Extended health (100% medication coverage- some exceptions may apply), dental and vision care.
