Hours worked to be scheduled as required by program needs. As the program operates 7 days a week, being on-call for 1 week every 4-6 weeks is required to support the tenants and each other on the team. The on-call rotation consists of carrying a work cell phone 24/7 for that one week, responding to urgent matters. \n\nWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: \nProviding direct and indirect support to tenants living with substance use disorders through a harm reduction approach\nHelping individuals connect to community resources and supports\nReinforcing individuals’ life skills, spirituality, and social and community skills\nPlanning and facilitating programs\nSupporting and coordinating volunteers \nCoordinating with outside organizations to provide cultural programming\nAssisting with admission and orientation of new tenants\nRent collection, pest management, and other landlord responsibilities\nSupporting individuals to achieve their goals while encouraging independence and recovery\nMaintaining a safe and healthy environment\n\nWHAT YOU WILL BRING: \nPost Secondary education in related field or equivalent\nExperience working within a case management framework with individuals with serious mental illness, substance use, or other special needs\nRecent Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) with the information therein acceptable by Indwell to meet the operational requirements of the program- at one’s own cost\nCurrent First Aid & CPR Certification from an approved provider that meets Ontario provincial standards or willingness to register for the training within 30 days of employment-reimbursement by Indwell\nA knowledge of local community resources, including local indigenous resources and community \nAwareness of Indigenous culture and history and in particular, the impacts of residential schools and intergenerational trauma. \nKnowledge of landlord-tenant relations is beneficial.
