Responsibilities\nDatabase Design & Optimization\nDesign, implement, and maintain robust database architectures aligned with business and technical requirements.\nMonitor and support critical business processes to ensure optimal database performance and reliability.\nDevelop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.\nCollaborate with Development teams to improve application performance and enhance business process outcomes.\nManage and optimize complex Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.\nImplement database best practices regarding performance, scalability, security, and availability.\nDatabase Administration & Operations\nAdminister and maintain production, development, and testing database environments.\nImplement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.\nEnsure compliance with backup and data retention policies.\nMonitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance.\nProactively identify and resolve potential issues before they impact business operations.\nETL & Data Management\nDevelop, optimize, and monitor ETL processes to ensure reliable data integration and data quality.\nSupport and maintain data transformation workflows using SQL-based solutions.\nManage and support Master Data Services (MDS) environments and processes.\nTechnical Support & Incident Management\nProvide technical support to Development, Operations, and Application Production Support teams.\nTroubleshoot and resolve performance, availability, and data access issues.\nConduct root cause analysis for database-related incidents.\nParticipate in post-mortem reviews and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.\nTechnical Advisory & Continuous Improvement\nMonitor emerging technologies and industry best practices.\nLeverage monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, ELK, and Zabbix to ensure system performance and availability.\nDrive automation initiatives and support DevOps best practices.\nAssess and implement innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency and optimize infrastructure costs.\nProvide technical recommendations regarding database architecture, performance tuning, and operational resilience.\n Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL administration.\nAdvanced SQL development, including:Stored Procedures\nFunctions\nViews\nTriggers\nPerformance Optimization\n\nExtensive experience with ETL development, optimization, and monitoring.\nStrong knowledge of:SQL Performance Tuning\nQuery Optimization\nIndexing Strategies\nDatabase Partitioning\n\nExperience with Master Data Services (MDS).\nProven experience conducting root cause analysis and troubleshooting complex database issues.\nKnowledge of backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.\nNice to Have\nExperience with ITIL-based environments.\nExperience working within DevOps and CI/CD
