Do you enjoy taking technical ownership, solving complex infrastructure challenges and helping customers modernize their IT environments?\nAt Inetum, we're looking for a hands-on Wintel System Engineer to strengthen our infrastructure expertise and support our customers in transforming and optimizing their Microsoft environments.\nIn this role, you'll work on challenging infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on Windows Server technologies, Active Directory, SQL Server platforms and hybrid cloud environments.\nYou'll be involved in the entire project lifecycle, from technical analysis and planning to implementation, migration, validation and documentation.\nYour key responsibilities:\nDesign, implement, maintain and optimize Microsoft-based infrastructure environments.\nLead and execute end-to-end server migrations, including Windows Server upgrades and infrastructure modernization projects.\nManage and migrate Active Directory environments, including domain migrations, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies and authentication services.\nImplement and support Microsoft SQL Server environments, including platform upgrades, Always On Availability Groups and Windows Failover Clustering.\nPerform application and file server migrations, ensuring business continuity and minimal downtime.\nWork with hybrid infrastructure environments, combining on-premises Microsoft technologies with cloud-based solutions.\nPrepare and execute migration strategies, including cutover planning, rollback scenarios and post-migration validation.\nTroubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide sustainable technical solutions.\nCollaborate directly with customers, understand their technical requirements and take ownership of project delivery.\nDeliver clear technical documentation, as-built documentation and knowledge transfer to operational teams.\nYou'll operate with a high degree of autonomy, taking responsibility for your projects while collaborating with specialized experts whenever specific technical challenges require additional expertise.\n Do you have a strong technical background in Microsoft infrastructure and several years of hands-on experience?\nYour technical expertise includes:\nWindows Server: Extensive experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 and preferably 2025.\n Active Directory: Strong knowledge of AD DS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Objects (GPO) and FSMO roles.\nSecurity & Authentication: Understanding of Kerberos, service accounts, authentication mechanisms and Microsoft PKI / Certificate Services.\nSQL Server: Experience with SQL Server 2019/2022, Always On Availability Groups and SQL platform migrations.\nHigh Availability: Knowledge of Windows Failover Clustering and business-critical infrastructure environments.\n Microsoft Infrastructure Services: Experience with IIS, File Services, DFS, NTFS permissions, Remote Desktop Services (RDS) and RemoteApp.\nVirtualization: Operational knowledge of VMware vSphere.\nHybrid Cloud: Good understanding of hybrid Microsoft infrastructure environments and their integration with cloud technologies.\nMigration Projects: Proven experience with end-to-end server, domain, application and file server migrations.\nProject Delivery: Experience with migration planning, cutover execution, rollback strategies, technical validation and documentation.\nAnd are you…\nAn experienced Wintel Engineer with approximately 5-10+ years of relevant experience?\nA hands-on technical expert who enjoys taking ownership from start to finish?\nComfortable independently managing complex infrastructure migrations?\nStrong in troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem-solving?\nSomeone who combines technical expertise with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset?\nA clear communicator who enjoys working directly with customers and technical stakeholders?\nStructured in your approach, with attention to documentation, knowledge sharing and quality?\nA team player who knows when to involve specialized expertise?\nFluent in Dutch and English, with French as an additional asset?\nThen you might be the Wintel System Engineer we're looking for!\n Discover Your Future with Inetum Belgium\nMake a Difference with a Meaningful Career: Step into a role where your work truly matters.
