The\nrole requires close collaboration with product marketing, system architects,\ndesign engineering, validation teams, manufacturing, and key customers across\ncomputing, AI infrastructure, telecommunications, industrial, and automotive\nmarkets.\nYour role\nKey responsibilities in your new role\nTechnical and Organizational Leadership\nLead and mentor a high-performing applications engineering team in Bangalore.\nDefine technical direction, priorities, and execution plans to support business goals.\nBuild technical expertise through coaching, reviews, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.\nDrive innovation, engineering excellence, and talent development through hiring, performance management, and succession planning.\nProduct Definition and System Architecture\nCollaborate with Product Marketing, System Architects, and Design Engineering teams to define new product roadmaps and solutions.\nTranslate customer requirements into product specifications, features, performance targets, and validation plans.\nInfluence product strategy by analyzing industry trends, customer needs, and competitive market landscapes.\nApplications Engineering and System Solutions\nDevelop and validate system-level power solutions using POL voltage regulators, DrMOS, controllers, and other power management products.\nOptimize power architectures for efficiency, thermal performance, reliability, transient response, and cost.\nSupport products through the full lifecycle with design-in activities, simulations, characterization, and application-specific optimization.\nProduct Validation and Characterization\nDefine and execute application-focused validation plans, ensuring comprehensive system-level testing.\nDrive electrical, thermal, reliability, and performance characterization to validate product quality and robustness.\nCollaborate with design, package, reliability, and quality teams to resolve application issues during development, qualification, and field deployment.\nCustomer Engagement and Technical Support\nServe as the primary technical interface for strategic customers and ecosystem partners, leading design reviews and technical workshops.\nProvide advanced technical support, drive root-cause investigations, and contribute to securing key design wins.\nReference Designs and Technical Collateral\nDefine, develop, and validate high-quality reference designs, evaluation boards, and demonstration platforms.\nCreate and maintain application notes, design guides, datasheets, technical briefs, and other support documentation.\nEstablish best practices for POL regulator implementation while ensuring technical accuracy and consistency of customer-facing content.\nMarketing and Business Development Support\nPartner with Product Marketing and Business Development teams to showcase product capabilities and system solutions.\nSupport product launches, competitive positioning, and customer engagement through demonstrations at industry events and technology forums.\nDevelop technical content for webinars, conferences, marketing campaigns, and customer education.\nYour profile\nQualifications and skills to help you succeed \nMaster’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electronics & Communication, or a related field.\n\n15+ years of experience in power management and proven leadership in managing technical engineering teams.\n\nStrong expertise in Point-of-Load (POL) regulators, multi-phase buck converters, VRM/VR architectures, power management ICs, digital power solutions, power integrity, and high-current power delivery systems.\n\nStrong understanding of control loop design, compensation techniques, transient response optimization, thermal management, EMI/EMC, and reliability qualification methodologies.\n\nHands-on experience in laboratory characterization, validation, and power electronics debugging.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in server, AI computing, networking, telecom, industrial, or automotive power systems.\nFamiliarity with simulation and design tools such as LTspice, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, and related platforms.\nKnowledge of modern CPU, GPU, FPGA, and ASIC power architectures, with experience influencing product roadmaps and NPI activities;
