This role provides strategic technical direction across multiple programs, leads critical design initiatives, influences product road maps, and mentors engineering teams to achieve business and technology objectives.\nYour role\nKey responsibilities in your new role\nTechnical Architecture & Design Leadership\nDefine and drive SoC, subsystem, and IP architectures aligned with product and technology roadmaps.\nLead microarchitecture development for complex digital systems with a strong focus on scalability, power efficiency, performance, and manufacturability.\nOwn critical design decisions and guide architectural trade-offs across performance, power, area (PPA), reliability, and cost objectives.\nTranslate product requirements into robust architectural specifications and implementation plans.\nRTL Development & Design Execution\nLead RTL design and implementation using Verilog/System Verilog for complex digital subsystems and SoCs.\nDrive design quality through comprehensive reviews, sign-off processes, and engineering best practices.\nEnsure successful execution across synthesis, timing closure, linting, CDC/RDC analysis, power intent validation, DFT integration, and low-power implementation.\nPartner closely with verification teams to develop highly effective verification strategies and achieve first-pass silicon success.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with architecture, verification, physical design, firmware, software, validation, and product engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.\nDrive technical alignment across global teams and serve as the primary technical authority for major design initiatives.\nSupport silicon bring-up, system integration, root-cause analysis, and post-silicon debugging activities.\nTechnical Leadership & Innovation\nLead and mentor senior engineers and technical teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.\nEstablish engineering methodologies, design standards, quality frameworks, and development processes.\nDrive risk identification, mitigation planning, and technical decision-making across key projects.\nContribute to technology strategy, patent generation, and development of next-generation semiconductor solutions.\nYour profile\nQualifications and skills to help you succeed \nBachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\n15+ years of industry experience in digital IC design and semiconductor product development.\nExtensive experience in architecture, microarchitecture, RTL design, and SoC/IP development.\nProven success delivering complex semiconductor products from architecture definition through silicon validation and production.\nExpert-level proficiency in Verilog/System Verilog and modern ASIC/SoC development flows\nStrong understanding of:\nPerformance, Power, and Area (PPA) optimisation\nClocking and reset architectures\nDesign-for-Test (DFT)\nLow-power design methodologies\nTiming closure and physical design considerations\nSemiconductor development and productization processes\nExperience leading technical reviews, design sign-offs, risk assessments, and root-cause investigations.\nStrong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.\n#WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.\nAs a global leader in semiconductor solutions in power systems and IoT, Infineon enables game-changing solutions for green and efficient energy, clean and safe mobility, as well as smart and secure IoT.
