Expertise spans end-to-end product development, supplier collaboration, manufacturing support, and production testing, delivering high-performance and reliable power electronics solutions for industrial applications.\nYour role\nKey responsibilities in your new role\nExtensive experience in the design and development of high-power power electronic products for industrial applications, with deep expertise in MW-scale DC-AC and DC-DC power conversion systems, including utility-scale solar inverters and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).\nStrong knowledge of power electronic components and subsystems, including high-power semiconductors (IGBTs, SiC devices), DC-link capacitors, sensors, gate driver circuits, and protection architectures.\n\nProficient in industry-standard simulation and design tools, including PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, finite element analysis (FEA) tools such as ANSYS, 3D mechanical CAD platforms including SolidWorks and AutoCAD, as well as schematic capture and PCB design software.\n\nHands-on experience in thermal modelling, thermal performance evaluation, and cooling system design, ensuring reliable operation of high-power conversion systems under demanding operating conditions.\n\nProven expertise in the design and integration of customised subassemblies and collaboration with suppliers for components such as busbars, heatsinks, and PCB assemblies (PCBAs), ensuring manufacturability, quality, and cost optimisation.\n\nSkilled in design verification, testing, and performance validation, conducting comprehensive qualification and reliability assessments to ensure compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.\n\nDemonstrated ability to manage the complete product development lifecycle, from concept design and simulation through prototyping, testing, validation, and industrialisation.\n\nYour profile\nQualifications and skills to help you succeed \n10-12 years of proven experience in the design, development, validation, and manufacturing of high-power power electronic products, preferably in renewable energy, industrial power conversion, solar inverters, or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).\n\nDemonstrated expertise in managing the complete product development lifecycle, from concept and design through prototyping, testing, industrialisation, and production support.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a structured approach to engineering challenges and a keen attention to detail.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and key stakeholders.\n\nSelf-motivated and results-oriented professional with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver high-quality outcomes within challenging timelines.\n\nProven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and innovation-driven environment, adapting quickly to evolving business and technical requirements.\n\nStrong team player with a commitment to continuous improvement, quality, and engineering excellence.\n\n#WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.\nAs a global leader in semiconductor solutions in power systems and IoT, Infineon enables game-changing solutions for green and efficient energy, clean and safe mobility, as well as smart and secure IoT.
