We combine AI solutions, commercial expertise, and complex business logic to address government and federal agencies’ biggest challenges.\nJOB SUMMARY\nAs Senior Mainframe Application Developer, you will bring IBM z/OS expertise to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade mainframe applications for mission-critical programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to modernization efforts. Applying AI-enabled tools where applicable to accelerate delivery and documentation.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL.\n\nDevelop and support batch and online programs (CICS).\n\nWrite and maintain JCL, manage job scheduling, and support batch cycles.\n\nDevelop and maintain integrations with DB2, VSAM, and other mainframe data sources.\n\nPerform unit testing, system testing, and UAT support.\n\nTroubleshoot production issues and provide production support.\n\nParticipate in requirements analysis and translate business needs into technical solutions.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including analysts, testers, and infrastructure teams.\n\nFollow established SDLC, change management, and release processes.\n\nSupport documentation, knowledge transfer, system modernization initiatives, and continuous improvement as applicable.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n10+ years of hands-on mainframe application development experience (flexible for strong candidates).\n\nStrong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.\n\nExperience with CICS and/or IMS.\n\nExperience developing and supporting both batch and online applications.\n\nFamiliarity with mainframe development and debugging tools, such as Expeditor, Intertest, Endeavor, or Changeman.\n\nExperience working in production support environments.\n\nStrong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.\n\nAbility to work independently with minimal ramp up.\n\nExcellent communication skills (written and verbal).\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nFinancial services or other regulated industry experience.\n\nStrong testing background (functional, system, and UAT).\n\nExperience in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments.\n\nExposure to modernization efforts or integration with web / distributed technologies.\n\nExperience using AI tools to support code generation, documentation, test case creation, testing acceleration, and developer productivity.\n\nFamiliarity with AI-enabled and modernization tools such as Zowe, GitHub Copilot, and IBM Watsonx.\n\nAbility to obtain and maintain a
