You will partner with clients, project managers, QA, Delivery Manager, Project Development, Professional Services, and third-party vendors while mentoring engineers, resolving complex technical challenges, and strengthening long-term client relationships.Key Responsibilities\nProvide hands-on technical leadership for the design, configuration, customization, upgrade, support, and troubleshooting of the digital banking solution across on-premises and hosted environments for desktop and mobile platforms.\nOwn the technical design and delivery approach, translating business and functional requirements into scalable solution designs, implementation plans, estimates, and delivery commitments.\nLead architecture and design reviews, establish development standards, and make informed technical decisions that support performance, security, maintainability, and product strategy.\nRemain hands-on in the codebase by developing critical components, creating proofs of concept, and resolving the team’s most complex engineering challenges.\nLead code and pull-request reviews to enforce coding standards, secure development practices, test coverage, design consistency, and maintainable solutions.\nGuide project planning and execution, remove technical impediments, manage dependencies, and communicate delivery risks, blockers, and status to project and technical leadership.\nMentor senior and junior engineers through technical coaching, design guidance, pair programming, knowledge-sharing sessions, and constructive technical feedback.\nPartner directly with clients and stakeholders to clarify requirements, explain technical tradeoffs, manage expectations, and recommend effective solutions.\nCoordinate with third-party vendors, Product Development, Professional Services, DevOps, QA, and support teams to implement integrations and resolve cross-functional technical issues.\nDrive continuous improvement in engineering processes, CI/CD automation, deployment practices, observability, documentation, and team productivity.\nLead technical triage for critical incidents, perform root-cause analysis, define preventive actions, and support emergency client needs, after-hours deployments, and production releases when required.\nPlan and deliver client and internal technical training, including Architect SDK training, while promoting reusable knowledge and consistent engineering practices.\nBasic Qualifications\nEight or more years of hands-on software engineering experience designing and delivering secure, responsive, scalable, and mission-critical applications, including two or more years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\nRequired Qualifications\nExpert-level knowledge of C#, ASP.NET Core, RESTful Web APIs, WCF, Entity Framework, and microservices architecture.\nStrong experience with client-side technologies, including React, React Native, and TypeScript.\nDemonstrated experience defining solution architecture, applying software design patterns and SOLID principles, and evaluating technical tradeoffs for enterprise applications.\nProven ability to lead engineering teams, conduct design and code reviews, mentor developers, delegate effectively, and resolve technical impediments.\nStrong delivery leadership across requirements analysis, estimation, planning, development, testing, release, production support, and continuous improvement.\nAdvanced troubleshooting skills, including debugging, code analysis, performance tuning, root-cause analysis, and reverse engineering.\nStrong command of secure software development practices, the OWASP Top 10, vulnerability remediation, and security controls throughout the development lifecycle.\nStrong knowledge of SQL Server jobs, replication strategies, linked servers, database design, indexing, query optimization, and production troubleshooting.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions, risks, and options to clients, engineers, and senior stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProficiency with development and diagnostic tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, GitHub, file comparison utilities, and Microsoft SQL Server management tools.\nExperience leading delivery of high-volume, mission-critical web applications, preferably in digital or online banking.\nExperience planning and conducting technical training, onboarding, and mentoring in multiple formats.\nFamiliarity with credit union or banking host systems such as Symitar or Summit.\nExperience owning CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including automated build, testing, deployment, source control, release management, observability, and continuous improvement using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.\nExperience using and governing AI-powered coding assistants, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or equivalent tools, to improve development productivity, code quality, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting while maintaining secure coding, intellectual-property, privacy, and responsible AI standards.\nExperience leading distributed or cross-functional engineering teams and coordinating delivery across architecture, development, QA, DevOps, support, and business stakeholders.\nExperience in banking or financial services, particularly with digital banking applications, is
