(IGS) is a certified Indigenous and Woman-Owned contractor supporting Ontario’s power generation sector. We are looking for a motivated Project Coordinator / Estimator to join our growing team.\nReporting to the Lead Project Manager/Estimator, this position will support projects from e stimating and tendering through execution and close-out, with responsibility for project controls, costing, procurement, scheduling and client communication. You’ll work alongside an experienced and collaborative team, take on meaningful responsibility, and have opportunities to expand your skills and advance your career as IGS continues to grow our dynamic team.\nWe offer competitive compensation, full benefits, three weeks starting paid time off, and ongoing learning and development opportunities.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist with project startup, including project budgets, cash flow forecasts, preliminary schedules, purchase order acceptance and job setup.\nPrepare and maintain project organization, communication and contract tracking documentation.\nMonitor project plans, schedules, labour hours, budgets, commitments and expenditures.\nPrepare weekly project cost summaries and assist with monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reporting.\nMonitor job costing and identify cost or productivity trends that may impact project performance.\nPrepare project progress reports and schedules for internal teams and clients.\nTrack project progress and the quality of work performed by trades and other project stakeholders.\nReview contracts, project costs and WIP for areas of risk and assist in correcting deficiencies.\nTrack and manage Contemplated Change Notices (CCNs), Change Orders and other project changes, including estimating associated costs where required.\nChair or participate in project meetings and prepare/distribute meeting minutes.\nMaintain effective communication between clients, Project Managers, field teams, suppliers and subcontractors.\nSupport project procurement and coordinate material and equipment requirements.\nAssist with accounts receivable/payable and related project reporting.\nPrepare substantial completion documentation and coordinate required project close-out documentation.\nAssist with required client and project reporting, including applicable OPG/Bruce Power documentation and IGS Quality Program requirements.\nConduct site inspections and required Observation and Coaching activities in accordance with company policies and OHSA requirements.\nTravel to project sites and client locations as required.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nThe estimating component expands on IGS's existing responsibilities for preparing construction estimates and analyzing tenders.\nQualifications\nDegree/diploma in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field OR equivalent technical/construction experience.\nExperience in project coordination, estimating or construction is preferred.\nAbility to read drawings, specifications and tender documents.\nStrong understanding of construction costing and project controls.\nProficient in Microsoft Office; MS Project and/or Primavera experience is an asset.\nStrong communication, organization and attention to detail.\nElectrical, mechanical, industrial, nuclear or power-generation experience is an asset.\nAbility to obtain required client security clearance.\nKnowledge of and experience working with Indigenous communities is strongly preferred.\nWhat Would Make You Stand Out\nMinimum of 3 years experience estimating electrical and/or mechanical construction work, particularly within Ontario's power generation or nuclear sector, would be highly valued.
