Location
Infleqtion has offices in the USA, United Kingdom and Australia. This is a full-time position based at our Kidlington, Oxford office. Work from home permitted up to 2 days per week based on business needs and manager approval.
Purpose
The IT Support Analyst provides responsive first-line IT support to Infleqtion UK and acts as the primary point of contact for routine IT incidents and service requests.
The role supports users across Windows, macOS and Linux environments, manages device and user lifecycle activities, and helps ensure day-to-day IT services are delivered consistently and effectively.
Requirements
- Provide first-line IT support through FreshService and direct user engagement
- Log, categorise, prioritise and track incidents and service requests through to resolution
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Windows, and common business applications
- Support laptops, desktops, printers and peripherals
- Prepare, deploy, recover and securely dispose of end-user equipment
- Coordinate user onboarding, offboarding and routine access changes
- Perform routine account and access administration
- Maintain accurate asset records, inventory and stock levels
- Support meeting rooms, desk booking and other workplace technology
- Maintain user-facing documentation and knowledge articles
- Escalate complex technical issues appropriately to the IT Systems Engineer or relevant third party
- Support routine patching, device compliance and security activities
- Assist with software deployment and endpoint-management activities
- Support IT projects, office changes, supplier coordination and hardware logistics
- Provide clear communication and timely follow-up to users throughout incidents and service requests
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in an IT support, service desk or similar role, or equivalent technical training
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows
- Understanding of user accounts, permissions and access management
- Experience supporting laptops, desktops and peripherals
- Familiarity with ticketing & remote support platforms
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise multiple requests and maintain accurate documentation
- Willingness to develop technical capability and take on broader responsibilities over time
Desirable Experience
- Familiarity with macOS and Linux support
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPN
- Familiarity with endpoint-management platforms (Intune/SCCM etc)
Qualifications
- Relevant technical qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent professional experience.
- Microsoft, CompTIA or similar certifications are advantageous but not essential.
Travel
Up to 10% travel, including international travel, may be required
Working conditions and Physical Requirements
Work will normally be performed in an office and laboratory environment. Able to efficiently use automated office equipment such as laptops, copiers, and printers; able to effectively engage in communications (via phone, computer, or in-person). Will involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and carrying up to 10 kg.
