This position is a full-time, hybrid position which will be located in our Oxford, United Kingdom office.\nJOB SUMMARY\nInfleqtion UK is looking for a mixed signal electronics engineer with a passion for working with a multi-disciplinary team to bring state-of-the art quantum technologies outside the laboratory and into the real-world. You will use your skills to contribute to the design, verification, and implementation of electronic systems and subsystems for Infleqtion’s quantum products. You will have strong skills and relevant experience working with digital, mixed-signal, and analogue electronics, ranging from DC to RF frequencies.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe duties and responsibilities outlined below include essential functions of the role. Depending on business needs, this role may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.\nTranslating product requirements into end-to-end signal chain architecture\nExecution of modelling, simulation, and analytical calculations to design systems required to meet product performance\nDigital and mixed signal circuit design and signal processing using components such as DAC/ADC, FPGA's. \nPCB design and layout for integration into larger mechanical, optical, and other subsystems\nShielding, cabling, and routing design for RF isolation\nGeneration of files suitable for PCB manufacture\nDesign and execution of test plans\nIdentifying and engaging key suppliers\nSupporting development of risk management plans and risk resolution, and supporting reliability analysis and continuous improvement.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree or substantive experience, with a focus in electrical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, electro-optical engineering, RF engineering, or embedded systems engineering\nAn excellent understanding of electronics engineering principles, theory and design techniques\nSeveral years of relevant and progressive experience in a similar role\nExperience of RF development cycle from conceptualisation, design, manufacturing and validation through to deployment. \nExperience with designing PCBs for mixed signals applications.\nExperience with PCB design software (e.g Altium)\nExperience with modelling and simulation tools (e.g. SPICE, HFSS)\nExperience with testing, verification, and validation of products and subsystems\nExperience using test and measurement equipment (network analyser, spectrum analyser etc) \nAbility to work comfortably in a highly collaborative, cross-functional teams.\nDesirable Skills and Knowledge\nExperience with digital signal processing (DSP)\nHigh-speed photodetection systems\nLow phase-noise oscillators and frequency conversion\nDesign for long term stability in varying environmental conditions\nExperience solving complex problems and challenges in a highly technical and scientific environment\nTRAVEL\nUp to 10% travel, including international travel, may be required\nWORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nWork will normally be performed in an office and laboratory environment. Able to efficiently use automated office equipment such as laptops, copiers, and printers; able to effectively engage in communications (via phone, computer, or in-person).
