The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Python-based test automation using Playwright, API automation, CI/CD, and modern AI-driven quality engineering practices.\n\nThe role will involve building scalable automation frameworks, driving shift-left quality practices, establishing QA standards and KPIs, and leading distributed QA teams while partnering closely with Engineering, Product, and Business stakeholders.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n\nQA Leadership & Transformation : \n\n- Lead QA and Quality Engineering strategy across multiple projects and products.\n\n- Define and implement scalable QA processes, standards, methodologies, and quality KPIs.\n\n- Drive Shift-Left testing and quality engineering practices across the SDLC.\n\n- Establish automation-first approaches to improve test coverage, release velocity, and product quality.\n\n- Build and evolve QA CoE capabilities, frameworks, reusable accelerators, and best practices.\n\n- Identify opportunities for process optimization, test automation, and intelligent quality engineering.\n\n- Drive root-cause analysis, defect prevention, risk assessment, and continuous improvement.\n\nTest Automation - Python & Playwright : \n\n- Design, develop, and maintain UI automation frameworks using Python and Playwright.\n\n- Establish scalable automation architecture using Page Object Model, reusable components, fixtures, and data-driven approaches.\n\n- Develop automated functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end test suites.\n\n- Integrate Playwright automation with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.\n\n- Implement parallel execution, cross-browser testing, reporting, test retry, and flaky-test management.\n\n- Evaluate and modernize existing Selenium-based automation frameworks by introducing Playwright and Python where appropriate.\n\n- Drive automation coverage across critical business workflows and continuously improve automation ROI.\n\n- Establish coding standards, framework guidelines, code reviews, and best practices for automation engineers.\n\nAPI & Performance Testing : \n\n- Lead API automation using tools such as Python, Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.\n\n- Define API testing strategy covering functional, integration, negative, and contract testing.\n\n- Drive performance testing using JMeter and other appropriate tools.\n\n- Analyze performance bottlenecks and work with engineering teams on remediation.\n\n- Integrate API and performance testing into CI/CD pipelines where appropriate.\n\nAI-Driven Quality Engineering : \n\n- Explore and implement AI/GenAI-assisted testing to improve productivity and test effectiveness.\n\n- Evaluate AI-assisted test generation, test optimization, defect triage, RCA assistance, and regression optimization.\n\n- Define quality validation approaches for AI-powered applications, including : \n\n1. Response accuracy\n\n2. Contextual relevance\n\n3. Response consistency\n\n4. Hallucination detection\n\n5. Prompt effectiveness\n\n6. Edge-case handling\n\n- Participate in designing and validating Agentic AI workflows and autonomous testing solutions.\n\n- Identify opportunities to use tools such as Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, MCP, and other AI technologies within QA workflows.\n\nCI/CD & Engineering Practices : \n\n- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.\n\n- Establish quality gates and automated regression checks within deployment pipelines.\n\n- Work closely with DevOps and Engineering teams to improve continuous testing and release confidence.\n\n- Promote Git-based development, code reviews, test reporting, and engineering best practices.\n\nTeam Leadership : \n\n- Lead, mentor, and develop QA/QE engineers across multiple projects.\n\n- Build automation and quality engineering capabilities within the team.\n\n- Conduct technical mentoring, framework reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.\n\n- Define team goals, performance expectations, and development plans.\n\n- Manage distributed teams and coordinate with global stakeholders.\n\nStakeholder Management : \n\n- Partner with Product, Engineering, Business, and Program teams to define quality objectives.\n\n- Own QA strategy, estimates, test plans, release readiness, and quality reporting.\n\n- Communicate quality risks, dependencies, defects, and release recommendations to senior stakeholders.\n\n- Support client discussions, solutioning, proposals, and QA transformation initiatives.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience : \n\n- 15+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering, with significant experience in QA leadership.\n\n- Strong hands-on experience in Python-based automation.\n\n- Strong expertise in Playwright for web/UI automation.\n\n- Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks from the ground up.\n\n- Strong understanding of Selenium and modern automation framework architecture.\n\n- Experience with API automation and testing.\n\n- Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.\n\n- Experience with Git and modern software engineering practices.\n\n- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum, STLC, test strategy, and release management.\n\n- Experience with performance testing, preferably JMeter.\n\n- Experience leading and mentoring QA/QE teams.\n\n- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.\n\n- Experience working with enterprise/SaaS applications.\n\nPreferred / Good-to-Have Skills : \n\n- Experience in AI/GenAI testing and AI-assisted QA automation.\n\n- Experience with Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, LLMs, or MCP-based workflows.\n\n- Knowledge of Agentic AI and autonomous workflow validation.\n\n- Experience with AI-assisted test generation and intelligent test optimization.\n\n- Experience with accessibility testing using tools such as NVDA and Axe.\n\n- Experience with web performance tools such as Lighthouse/PageSpeed.\n\n- Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Payments, or other enterprise-domain experience.\n\n- Experience establishing or scaling a QA CoE / Quality Engineering practice.\n\nEducation : \n\n- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information
