What this role is all about

As an Invoicing Team Lead - EMEA, you will lead a high-performing invoicing function responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and efficient invoicing operations across the region. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, improving automation adoption, and enhancing the overall stakeholder and customer experience. Working closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, Operations, Customer Success, Legal, and Revenue Operations, you will help optimize invoicing processes and support scalable business growth. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, uses data to drive decisions, and is passionate about continuous improvement and digital transformation.

What you’ll do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of invoicing professionals across the EMEA region

• Drive operational excellence across the end-to-end invoicing lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate invoice generation

• Monitor and improve key operational KPIs including Time-to-Invoice, invoice accuracy, automation rate, and customer satisfaction metrics

• Identify process bottlenecks and implement scalable process improvement and automation initiatives

• Partner with technology and transformation teams to deliver workflow automation and operational efficiency projects

• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, Legal, and external customers to resolve invoicing challenges

• Present operational performance updates, risks, and improvement opportunities to senior leadership

What makes you a strong fit

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field

• 7+ years of experience in invoicing, billing, order-to-cash, revenue operations, or shared services environments

• 3+ years of leadership experience managing and developing operational teams - it’s a must

• Strong understanding of invoicing processes, billing operations, financial controls, and compliance requirements

• Demonstrated experience driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational optimization

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate operational data into actionable insights

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, influencing, and presentation skills

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written

Nice-to-have qualifications

• Experience working in a high-volume, technology-enabled invoicing environment

• Experience with workflow automation, AI-driven operations, and process optimization tools
