This role will own recurring equity accounting and related financial reporting, including routine equity accounting entries, accounting for modifications under U.S. GAAP, and technical accounting analysis for complex or non-routine equity transactions. The role will serve as a key subject matter expert for equity awards and work closely with Accounting, Finance, HR, Legal, Tax, Payroll, IT, and external auditors as Infoblox grows and expands its equity programs. (Must live in the Greater Seattle-Tacoma Metro area).\nBe a Contributor - What You’ll Do\nOwn recurring equity accounting and reporting processes\nEvaluate and account for equity award modifications and other changes under U.S. GAAP\nDraft technical accounting position papers and related accounting for equity modifications\nCoordinate with valuation specialists and other stakeholders on fair value models; assess and document changes in assumptions\nPartner with HR and Total Rewards to evaluate, select, implement, and transition to a comprehensive equity accounting and administration platform capable of handling increasingly complex equity transactions for our growing business\nLead data migration, system configuration, control design, process documentation, user acceptance testing, and training related to the equity platform transition\nBe Prepared - What You Bring\nMinimum of 5 years of equity accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, or related public accounting experience\nPublic accounting experience working with publicly filed companies\nCPA required\nBachelor’s degree in accounting required\nStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 718, as well as familiarity with SEC requirements\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders\nCommitment to detail and quality and willingness to learn the business as well as challenging accounting concepts\nStrong managerial and mentorship skills with an ability to succinctly summarize and communicate upwards\nProficiency with Accounting ERP, reporting, and equity platform software such as Oracle, Active Disclosure and Fidelity Equity\nBe Successful - Your Path\nFirst 90 Days: Immerse in our culture, map the equity plans, awards, systems, controls, and stakeholders that rely on your work, and establish a clear equity accounting close and audit calendar.\nSix Months:\nOwn recurring equity accounting entries, reconciliations, disclosures, and audit support with a strong understanding of the Company’s equity plans and accounting policies\nBuild a repeatable technical accounting memo and documentation framework for modifications, fair value assumptions, and non-routine equity transactions\nLead the evaluation and implementation plan for a more comprehensive equity accounting and administration platform, including controls, data migration, and stakeholder readiness\nOne Year:\nBe the point person for equity accounting, modifications, fair value assumptions, technical conclusions, and related reporting requirements\nHave established scalable processes and controls that support interim and year-end audits and the Company’s expanding equity programs\nHave built strong relationships with accounting and finance leadership, HR, Legal, Tax, Payroll, IT, valuation specialists, and external auditors\nHave contributed meaningfully to high-priority public-company readiness, platform transition, and equity-related initiatives\nBelong-Your Community\nOur culture thrives on inclusion, rewarding the bold ideas, curiosity, and creativity that move us forward.
