As the team continues to increase its test automation efforts, the role is expected to gradually involve more automation testing.\nThe ideal candidate should have strong QA fundamentals, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to understand an application from an end-user perspective. Experience or knowledge of automation, programming, SQL Server, web applications, and cloud technologies will be valuable for this position.\nA Typical Day in the Life Includes:\nPerform manual and automated testing based on product and business requirements.\nDesign, create, and execute test plans and test cases.\nExecute manual and automated regression testing.\nIdentify, analyze, and report software defects and product issues.\nCommunicate test findings clearly to the development team.\nTrack identified defects through resolution and verify fixes.\nMonitor progress on product issues and ensure appropriate follow-up.\nCreate and maintain wiki pages and documentation for features being tested.\nEnsure the final product meets defined requirements and end-user expectations.\nWork closely with the development and QA teams to improve overall product quality.\nContribute to the team's growing test automation efforts.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or relevant professional experience in Software Development, Software QA, Software Customer Support, Business Analysis, or a closely related area.\nPreferably 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Development, or a related field. Candidates with less experience may also be considered if they demonstrate strong development skills.\nStrong understanding of manual testing and Software Quality Assurance principles.\nExperience with or knowledge of test automation and programming concepts.\nExposure to automation technologies such as Playwright, TypeScript, and Kiro would be beneficial.\nExperience creating test plans and executing regression test suites.\nKnowledge of SQL Server and the ability to construct SQL queries.\nExperience with web application testing or development.\nKnowledge of at least one programming or scripting language.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal English communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team and handle complex tasks with minimal supervision.\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to understand applications from an end-user's perspective.\nExperience in a SaaS environment.\nExperience with REST API testing or development.\nKnowledge of Selenium.\nExperience with PowerShell or Python.\nExposure to AWS technologies such as S3, EC2, EBS, Step Functions, and Lambda.\nExperience with cloud provisioning, cloud automation, or virtual machines.\nExperience with logging solutions such as Sumo Logic, Splunk, or Logstash.\nUnderstanding of defect-tracking systems and change-control procedures.\nExperience with Kiro, Claude, or similar AI tools used for software test automation.\nGood understanding of the importance of Software Quality Assurance within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).\nPreferred Qualifications:\nThis role provides an opportunity to work on a large-scale web and cloud-based application while building experience across both manual and automated software testing.\nThe selected candidate will gain exposure to modern QA technologies and practices, including test automation, web application testing, SQL Server, REST APIs, programming, AWS cloud technologies, and AI-assisted automation tools.\nAs the team's automation capabilities continue to expand, the role provides an opportunity to develop deeper expertise in test automation and cloud-based Quality Assurance while contributing directly to improving product quality and the overall user experience.\nWhat I changed: I converted your source JD directly into the four Pinpoint fields: Description, Key Responsibilities, Skills/Knowledge & Expertise, and Job Benefits.
