\nIntegrate with the Anthropic Claude API and Model Context Protocol (MCP) as required by platform initiatives. \nContribute to AI Governance capabilities across explainability, observability, and prevention based on initiative priorities. \nOwn feature and component design within the assigned area, including approach, trade-offs, and technical recommendations. \nMentor engineers, review code, review designs, and help raise overall engineering quality. \nParticipate in effort estimation and challenge scope, assumptions, or estimates where warranted. \nBasic Qualifications:\nStrong, demonstrated engineering experience shipping production software, with engineering depth as the primary gate ahead of GenAI-specific background. \nHands-on experience using an AI coding tool in daily development work, such as Claude Code, AWS Kiro, OpenAI Codex, or a comparable AI-assisted coding tool. \nProficiency in Python and full-stack development, including FastAPI (or a comparable Python web framework such as Flask/Django) for API development, Angular or a comparable JavaScript framework, and PostgreSQL or a comparable relational database. \nWorking knowledge of AWS services, including Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, and EKS. \nDemonstrable exposure to LangChain, LangGraph, or a comparable agentic framework. \nComfort designing a solution from a problem statement, not only implementing a fully specified design. \nBaseline AI literacy, including understanding how AI works, recognizing useful AI scenarios, directing AI effectively, evaluating AI outputs, and using AI responsibly. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nDirect experience with the Anthropic Claude API and Model Context Protocol (MCP). \nPrior work on systems with explainability, observability, or guardrail requirements. \nAbility to balance speed, engineering quality, production readiness, and evolving GenAI platform needs. \nFamiliarity with containerization (Docker) and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation) for deploying services to
