If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nDesign and maintain a scalable data lake and modern data platform architecture\n\nDevelop efficient data storage solutions for structured and unstructured datasets\n\nSupport data governance, security and compliance requirements\n\nOptimise data models and storage performance\n\nDevelop and maintain data ingestion frameworks for internal and external systems\n\nBuild integrations across SaaS platforms, databases, APIs and third-party applications\n\nImplement batch and real-time data ingestion patterns\n\nManage data synchronisation and change data capture (CDC) processes\n\nDesign, develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines\n\nTransform raw data into trusted, business-ready datasets\n\nMonitor pipeline performance and proactively resolve issues\n\nImprove reliability, scalability and automation across the data estate\n\nImplement data validation and quality controls\n\nCreate monitoring and alerting mechanisms for critical pipelines\n\nTroubleshoot data issues and conduct root cause analysis\n\nEnsure high levels of availability and integrity across the platform\n\nWork closely with business stakeholders, analysts, engineers and leadership teams\n\nSupport reporting, analytics and AI initiatives through reliable data delivery\n\nContribute to data architecture decisions and platform roadmaps\n\nDocument solutions and promote engineering best practices\n\nWhat We Can Offer You\nSteep Learning curve: We believe people leave organisations when learning stops. We live our company values every day and reward those people who embody them.\nSkills We Need for This Role\nProven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role\n\nStrong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets\n\nCommercial experience building ETL/ELT pipelines\n\nExperience developing data integrations and ingestion frameworks\n\nStrong Python development skills\n\nExperience working within cloud-based data environments\n\nKnowledge of data modelling and database design principles\n\nExperience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)\n\nExperience with data engineering tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Apache Spark, dbt or Airflow\n\nExperience with cloud data platforms such as Azure Synapse Analytics or Snowflake\n\nExperience using Git for version control\n\nExperience integrating REST APIs and working with event-driven architectures\n\nKnowledge of Kafka or other streaming technologies\n\nUnderstanding of change data capture (CDC) patterns\n\nKnowledge of data governance and master data management practices\n\nA collaborative approach with the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders\n\nInforcer is an equal opportunity employer.
