Across tech, finance, legal, corporate development, HR, communications, operations and many other areas, we work collaboratively and flexibly to help our brands serve their customers and help the company succeed.\n This role is based in our Cairo Festival City Business Park, New Cairo, Cairo, Egypt office.\nThis role follows a Monday to Friday working week, applicants should be comfortable with this schedule as a requirement of the position.\nRole Profile:\nThis role is a critical part of Informa's GBS function, responsible for managing global, division-agnostic processes to deliver enhanced quality, consistency, and scalability across financial operations.\nWe are seeking a proactive Collections Specialist to manage a high-volume portfolio of low-risk and medium-risk customer accounts.\nThis role focuses on efficient, email-based collection activities for customers with established payment histories, utilizing data-driven insights to prioritize collection efforts.\nThe position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining accurate records in our Master Data Management systems. Event attendance might be required, primarily within the MEA region, to support on-site collections and customer engagement activities.\nKey Responsibilities:\nThe Collections Specialist is expected to assume the following key responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required:\nManage collections activities for customers in GBS who are generally prompt in paying their debts.\nManage an assigned portfolio of small and medium-risk customer accounts across multiple regions and legal entities.\nConduct debt collection primarily through email communication, ensuring a professional and courteous approach.\nResponsible for collecting all debts owing to Informa within credit control policies and procedures to ensure that collection targets are met.\nMonitor customer aging reports and prioritize collection activities based on risk, overdue balances, and payment behaviour.\nManage the outstanding sales balances falling due and contact customers to obtain payment before the invoice due date, if applicable to your division.\nBuild close internal relationships with Sales, the rest of O2C team, and the Local Credit teams.\nResponsible for ensuring all customer contact notes are entered on a formalized standards and updated into the collections tool or the appropriate system.\nTo resolve queries were possible and refer complex disputes to the local credit team in a timely fashion and collect aged debt with a view to minimising bad debt provision.\nEnsure the customer portal is highlighted to customers when contacted.\nResponsible for looking after any unallocated cash items sitting on your set of accounts and work with the Cash Application team to have the monies applied if you can gain the appropriate back up from the customer.\nTo achieve the monthly cash collection targets set for your specific section of accounts.\nAccountable for meeting all defined KPIs and SLAs, with performance monitored through regular reporting and review cycles.\n Qualifications and Experience:\nRelevant experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Order-to-Cash operations or Customer Service.\nExperience working in a shared service centre or GBS function is preferred.\nExperience supporting multiple countries or global operations is an advantage.\nExperience in ERP systems for invoice processing, accounting (SAP, Oracle) is preferred.\nExperience using collections or credit management tools is preferred.\nCustomer service orientation while maintaining firm collection practices.\nCollaborative approach when working with sales and finance teams.\nAttention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts efficiently.\nSkills & Abilities:\nStrong written & verbal communication skills for effective email correspondence.\nProblem-solving capabilities for resolving payment disputes.\nKnowledge and ability to use relevant internal systems.\nAct with integrity, tact and diplomacy.\nHighly organised, diligent with attention to detail and the ability to maintain these skills whilst working under pressure.\nModerate skills in Excel, Word and Outlook are essential.\nAbility to work independently and meet deadlines.\nFluency in Arabic and English.\n We work hard to make sure Life at Informa is rewarding, supportive and enjoyable for everyone.
