The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in embedded software development and testing, with the ability to work closely with Technical Leads and Architects to implement software solutions based on detailed design specifications. This role requires strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills along with a commitment to delivering high-quality software in a regulated medical device environment.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop, enhance, and maintain embedded firmware components using C/C++ based on functional and design specifications.\nAnalyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects identified during development, testing, and field support activities.\nPerform unit testing, integration testing, and system-level testing to verify software functionality and quality.\nDevelop and maintain automated test scripts, test suites, and supporting test infrastructure.\nParticipate in software design discussions and contribute to low-level design documentation.\nDebug software and hardware interactions using JTAG debuggers, emulators, and diagnostic tools.\nSupport integration of firmware with hardware peripherals and communication interfaces.\nKnowledge of electronics, PCB analysis, debugging and testing.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test reports, and release notes.\nParticipate in peer reviews of code, test cases, and technical documentation.\nCollaborate with Technical Leads, Architects, QA engineers, and hardware teams to deliver project objectives.\nFollow established software development processes, coding standards, and quality guidelines.\nTechnical requirements\n5 to 8 years of experience in embedded software and firmware development.\nStrong hands-on experience on RTOS like Zypher, MQX, FreeRTOS.\nProficiency in C and C++ programming for embedded systems.\nStrong debugging and troubleshooting skills using JTAG-based debugging tools and emulators.\nHands-on experience with CodeWarrior IDE, VS Code and similar embedded development environments.\nExperience working with embedded communication protocols such as CAN, I2C, and SPI.\nKnowledge of PCB components and ability to compare components and suggest alternatives.\nKnowledge of middleware, OS internals (Android, Embedded Linux) is a good add-on.\nExperience in developing and executing automated test suites and test cases for embedded software.\nGood understanding of embedded software development lifecycle and software engineering best practices.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively within a collaborative development team.\nAdditional responsibilities\nExperience in the electronics and embedded software development.\nExperience with firmware maintenance, sustenance, and enhancement projects.\nKnowledge of ARM Assembly Language.\nFamiliarity with safety-critical and regulated embedded systems.\nExposure to continuous integration and automated build/test environments.\nPreferred skills\nDomain->Embedded systems->Embedded Software,Domain->Embedded systems->Embedded
