transfer, and ensure consistent execution of support responsibilities across all shifts.\nThe successful candidate will drive operational excellence, support process improvement initiatives, and ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of critical mainframe testing environments and batch services.\nResponsibilities\nProvide technical leadership and guidance to offshore batch support personnel.\nCoordinate 24x7 operational support across all shift teams.\nServe as the primary escalation point for complex batch processing and environment-related issues.\nPartner with the three onshore Senior Developers and management team to coordinate day-to-day operations, priorities, and support activities.\nFacilitate communication and collaboration between offshore resources, onshore technical leadership, and management.\nCoordinate resource assignments, workload balancing, and shift handoffs across the support organization.\nMonitor, analyze, and resolve batch job failures and performance issues.\nLead root cause analysis efforts and drive corrective actions for recurring problems.\nExecute and oversee data refresh and environment maintenance activities.\nDevelop, modify, and maintain JCL, REXX, COBOL, and related mainframe components.\nSupport CICS and DB2 applications and associated batch processes.\nMonitor workload automation and scheduling activities using ESP.\nSupport software migration and deployment activities using ChangeMan.\nGenerate, review, and present KPI and operational reporting metrics.\nProvide status updates, operational metrics, risk assessments, and escalation summaries to the onshore leadership team and managers.\nCoordinate with application, infrastructure, release management, and business teams to ensure service continuity.\nCollaborate with onshore developers and managers on release planning, issue management, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational readiness activities.\nFacilitate knowledge transfer and onboarding activities for offshore team members.\nDevelop and maintain operational procedures, technical documentation, and support runbooks.\nDrive process improvement and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and service quality.\nAssist management with resource planning, workload management, prioritization, and operational readiness activities.\nSupport monthly and major release activities, ensuring successful execution of batch processing requirements.\nTechnical requirements\nExtensive experience supporting IBM z/OS mainframe environments.\nHands-on experience with JCL, REXX, COBOL, CICS, and DB2.\nExperience troubleshooting complex batch processing and job scheduling issues.\nExperience leading technical teams or serving in a lead support capacity.\nStrong understanding of batch scheduling, workload automation, and test environment support processes.\nDemonstrated experience managing escalations and coordinating incident resolution efforts.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced operational support environment and collaborate across multiple teams.\nAdditional responsibilities\nExperience with COBOL, JCL, Assembler, EasyTrieve, and SAS reporting.\nExperience utilizing ESP workload automation and scheduling tools.\nExperience with ChangeMan software configuration and release management processes.\nFamiliarity with data refresh procedures within testing and non-production environments.\nExperience creating KPI dashboards, metrics, and operational reporting.\nKnowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes.\nExperience supporting large-scale enterprise
