SAP Basis Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Administrator responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and performance optimisation of SAP landscapes. The role involves managing SAP systems, ensuring high availability, performing upgrades, patching, system refreshes, and supporting SAP applications across development, quality, and production environments.

The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:

SAP System Administration:

• Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, BW, CRM, SCM, Solution Manager, S/4HANA).
• Perform SAP kernel upgrades, support pack implementations, and patch management.
• Manage SAP Application Servers, SAP HANA databases, and NetWeaver environments.
• Monitor system performance and ensure optimal utilisation of resources.

System Monitoring and Performance Tuning:

• Monitor SAP systems using SAP Solution Manager and other monitoring tools.
• Analyse workload statistics and optimise system performance.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks related to SAP applications, OS, and databases.

Backup, Recovery and High Availability:

• Manage system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
• Configure and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) environments.
• Perform regular system health checks and capacity planning.

Transport Management:

• Manage SAP Transport Management System (TMS).
• Coordinate transport requests across Development, QA, and Production systems.
• Ensure compliance with change management procedures.

Upgrade and Migration Activities:

• Support SAP upgrades, migrations, Unicode conversions, and S/4HANA transformations.
• Execute system copies, client copies, and system refresh activities.
• Participate in cloud migration projects (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Security and Compliance:

• Support SAP user administration and authorisation concepts.
• Implement SAP security patches and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.

Incident and Problem Management:

• Resolve BASIS-related incidents and service requests.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Work closely with SAP functional, development, and infrastructure teams.
