The role offers opportunities to work on cloud-native data platforms, big data technologies, and next-generation analytics ecosystems.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications using Scala.\nBuild and optimize data processing pipelines using Apache Spark and Scala.\nDevelop ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and process large volumes of structured and unstructured data.\nCollaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.\nWrite efficient, maintainable, and reusable code following software engineering best practices.\nOptimize application and data pipeline performance through tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.\nIntegrate solutions with databases, data lakes, and cloud platforms.\nEnsure data quality, reliability, scalability, and security across data solutions.\nParticipate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.\nSupport production deployments and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.\nTechnical requirements\n5-7 years of hands-on experience in Scala development.\nStrong proficiency in Scala programming concepts, functional programming, collections, concurrency, and object-oriented design.\nExperience with Apache Spark (Spark SQL, DataFrames, Dataset APIs).\nStrong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.\nKnowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.\nExperience developing and maintaining ETL/data processing applications.\nFamiliarity with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.\nExperience with version control systems such as Git.\nUnderstanding of distributed computing and big data concepts\nAdditional responsibilities\nInfosys is a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting.
