Software Development Lead

We are seeking a professional with experience in technical leadership, software architecture, and technology platform modernization to lead the evolution of web and mobile solutions. This role will be responsible for leading the migration of legacy systems to modern technologies and cloud services (AWS), ensuring platform scalability, security, and availability, while providing strategic leadership to the software development team.

Location

Colonia Escalón, San Salvador, El Salvador.

• Work Arrangement: Hybrid, Monday to Friday.

• Relocation: Open to professionals currently residing in El Salvador or willing to relocate to the country.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in management or technical leadership roles (Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, or Head of Software Development).

• Language: Advanced English proficiency (C1/C2).

• Proven experience in platform modernization (replatforming), microservices architecture, and digital products such as marketplaces or SaaS platforms.

• Strong knowledge of .NET and .NET Core, particularly in modernization and migration projects.

• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, server migrations, and cloud-native solutions.

• Knowledge of SQL Server, Databricks, and large-scale database management.

• Experience with modern web architectures and advanced search engines.

• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), including their integration into digital products.

• Experience developing and deploying end-to-end technology solutions.

• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, CI/CD, and DevOps culture.

• Ability to review code, define software architectures, and oversee the technical execution of projects.

• Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business needs into functional technology solutions.

• Willingness to relocate to El Salvador if currently residing abroad.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the future technology architecture of web and mobile platforms, ensuring high availability, security, and regional scalability.

• Design and execute the roadmap for legacy system modernization, including migration from .NET to .NET Core and the adoption of cloud-native architectures and microservices.

• Lead the adaptation and migration of the company's technology platforms to AWS.

• Implement solutions leveraging data analytics, advanced search engines, and artificial intelligence to optimize job matching and candidate analytics.

• Lead an existing team of DevOps engineers, .NET developers, and UX/UI professionals.

• Oversee the technical quality of software development, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance without being directly involved in day-to-day coding.

• Collaborate with C-level executives and Product Management leadership to define technical and strategic business priorities.

• Maintain direct communication with the Board of Shareholders to ensure project alignment with business objectives.

• Translate business requirements into fully developed, functional, and scalable technology solutions.
