The ideal candidate will have hands-on irrigation experience, be knowledgeable in multiple irrigation platforms, and possess or be willing to obtain a Texas Irrigator License. The technician will work in the field daily to ensure irrigation systems function efficiently, conserve water, and support healthy landscapes.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nInspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain irrigation systems.\nDiagnose and repair valves, rotors, spray heads, drip systems, backflow devices, controllers, and associated components.\nInstall and modify irrigation systems as needed.\nProgram and adjust irrigation controllers, including Hunter, Rain Bird, and other commercial irrigation systems.\nPerform irrigation audits and identify leaks, coverage deficiencies, and water waste.\nRespond to irrigation service requests and emergency repairs.\nAssist with system upgrades and improvements.\nMaintain accurate records of repairs, materials used, and completed work.\nEnsure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards.\nCommunicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and team members.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nMinimum of 2 years of irrigation experience.\nExperience working with Hunter, Rain Bird, and similar irrigation systems.\nStrong troubleshooting and repair skills.\nAbility to read irrigation plans and identify system components.\nValid Texas Driver's License with acceptable driving record.\nAbility to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.\nLicensing Requirements\nCurrent Texas Irrigator License preferred.\nCandidates without a license must be willing and able to obtain a Texas Irrigator License within a specified timeframe after hire.\nPreferred Qualifications\n3+ years of commercial irrigation experience.\nExperience with smart controllers, central control systems, and water management technologies.\nKnowledge of pump stations, flow sensors, and advanced irrigation diagnostics.\nBilingual English/Spanish is a plus.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong understanding of irrigation systems and components.\nAbility to diagnose and resolve irrigation issues quickly and effectively.\nKnowledge of water conservation practices and irrigation best practices.\nExcellent organizational and communication skills.\nAbility to work independently with minimal
