Duties include planning, scheduling, and delivery of preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance functions at assigned water and/or wastewater facilities.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nOversees and co-ordinates the efficient and effective mechanical operation of the Project by:\nSupervising and directing assigned maintenance staff\nEnsuring that prescribed maintenance schedules and policies and procedures are followed.\nEnsuring all preventive and predictive corrective maintenance tasks are completed as scheduled.\nEnsuring all corrective or emergency repairs are scheduled and completed on a timely basis.\nAssessing and prioritizing maintenance functions.\nWorking with Project or Plant Manager to improve mechanical systems and benchmark optimal maintenance efficiencies.\nImplementing improvements to operating systems and procedures including computerized maintenance management and work order programs.\nRecommending changes in employment, salary and performance ratings for assigned employees.\nAllocating work and assisting in training personnel.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nFamiliarity with computerized maintenance management systems\nStrong general computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint\nWorking knowledge of pumps, motors, equipment and electrical systems typically found in water or wastewater systems\nKnowledge of instrumentation and control systems\nKnowledge of water and wastewater operations a plus\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to trouble shoot mechanical and electrical systems\nSupervisory experience in directing maintenance staff\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nHigh School degree or equivalent. Completion of an Associate’s Degree program in maintenance technology, 7-10 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or utility setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience desired includes time in a hands-on role servicing pumps, motors controls etc.; familiarity with workorder and maintenance management systems, demonstrated ability to direct and prioritize maintenance activities and supervisory experience leading a maintenance team in an industrial or utility setting.\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS\nValid driver’s license. A CDL is a plus\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nRequires frequent walking, climbing, stooping, and moving items up to 50lbs.
