Successful candidates will work rotating 12-hour shifts, with several positions supporting night shift operations.\nIf you're looking for a stable career, competitive compensation, advancement opportunities, and the chance to be part of a team that delivers safe, reliable drinking water every day, we want to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of treatment processes and equipment that provide high-quality drinking water to the community.\nPlant Operations\nOperate pumps, valves, motors, turbines, and related treatment equipment.\nMonitor plant control systems and adjust process controls to regulate water flow, pressure, and treatment performance.\nOperate and monitor treatment processes to ensure water quality standards are achieved.\nRegulate water movement through treatment, storage, and distribution systems.\nPerform system backwashing and routine operational adjustments.\nMonitor reservoirs, tanks, well stations, and plant equipment during assigned shifts.\nWater Quality & Laboratory Testing\nCollect water samples and perform laboratory testing, including pH, chlorine residual, dissolved oxygen, and other operational analyses.\nEvaluate test results and make process control adjustments to maintain regulatory compliance and treatment efficiency.\nRecord and track water quality data, operational readings, and treatment information.\nAssist in maintaining accurate regulatory records and operational reports.\nChemical Treatment & Process Control\nSafely handle, transport, mix, and apply treatment chemicals.\nAdjust chemical feed systems based on water quality conditions and treatment demands.\nChange chlorine cylinders, inspect for leaks, and adjust feed rates as required.\nMonitor treatment effectiveness and make operational changes to optimize performance.\nEquipment Inspection & Maintenance\nInspect equipment, gauges, meters, pumps, and treatment systems to identify operational concerns.\nCalibrate meters and monitoring devices used during assigned shifts.\nPerform routine preventative maintenance and housekeeping activities.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and professional facility environment.\nSafety & Compliance\nFollow all company, state, and federal safety requirements.\nProperly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.\nParticipate in safety meetings, training programs, and emergency response activities.\nMaintain compliance with all operating procedures and regulatory requirements.\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nFlorida Class C Water Operator License or higher and experience operating a drinking water treatment facility. \nHigh School Diploma or GED.
