The ideal candidate brings 5 or more years of hands-on experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater project design combined with environmental regulatory compliance. This is a client-facing, field-active role with responsibility across the full project lifecycle — from engineering design and permitting through construction support and client reporting.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nEngineering Design\nDevelop engineering plans, specifications, and calculations for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects\nDesign hydraulic systems and model wastewater, water, and stormwater treatment processes\nProduce AutoCAD and Revit construction drawings and coordinate design and project bid packages\nPrepare technical reports, engineering evaluations, and basis-of-design documents\nDevelop engineering opinions of probable construction and operating costs and project schedules\nEnvironmental Compliance & Permitting\nDevelop environmental permitting and local building permitting documents for wastewater, drinking water, and stormwater treatment systems\nManage regulatory compliance programs for water, wastewater, and stormwater\nPrepare and submit permit applications to EPA and state agencies\nDevelop other environmental compliance plans (e.g., pollution control plans, operation and maintenance plans for pollution control systems, contingency plans for pollution control systems, corrective action plans)\nReview and interpret applicable environmental laws, regulations, and rules for pollution control projects.\nDevelop correspondence and conduct meetings with environmental regulators and other government officials.\nClient & Field Work\nVisit client sites for meetings, data collection, system observation and troubleshooting, development of corrective actions, and other related services\nBuild and maintain client relationships; serve as a trusted technical advisor\nDeliver presentations to clients, regulators, and other stakeholders\nSupport clients in industrial sectors including food, manufacturing, energy production, and agricultural products processing\nProject & Proposal Development\nManage project scope, budget, and schedule from start to completion\nPrepare proposals, develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules\nCoordinate with internal team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment\nWork with junior engineers to train them on project design work.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\nRequired\nB.S. in Civil, Environmental, Agricultural, or related Engineering discipline\n5+ years of experience in water/wastewater/stormwater design and environmental compliance\nEIT certification required;
