We provide full-service engineering support to deliver custom solutions that meet our clients’ specific project requirements.\nPosition Summary\nThe Shipper/Receiver is responsible for loading and unloading trailers, processing shipment orders, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe shipping environment. This role supports overall plant operations by coordinating the flow of materials and finished products, in alignment with safety and company procedures.\nKey Responsibilities\nSort, package, and load finished products onto flatbed trucks, ensuring products are free from damage and loaded according to safety protocols. \nPrepare shipments by pulling, assembling, palletizing, stretch-wrapping, packaging, and labeling materials. \nVerify all incoming and outgoing shipments by inspecting and counting/measuring to confirm accuracy and timely delivery. \nPlace inventory in designated storage locations and maintain an organized stock area. \nDeliver materials (e.g., starter pipe, supplies) to various plant areas as needed. \nBundle and move pipe to appropriate yard storage areas. \nSafely operate forklifts and cranes in accordance with company safety policies. \nParticipate in periodic inventory counts within the shipping department. \nSupport and participate in LEAN and 5S initiatives. \nActively engage in Health & Safety training and promote a safe working environment. \nPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager. \nCommunication Requirements\nInternal:\nPlant Supervisors, Crew Leaders, and Operational Support Teams - coordinate, clarify, and exchange shipment-related information. \nQualifications and Experience:\nAble to work outdoors in all weather conditions, year-round. (Huntsville Location Only) \nPrevious forklift and/or heavy machinery experience is an asset, with preference given to operators who have experience with 20,000 - 30,000 lb. Forklifts. \nMust be able to positively adapt to changes in shipping/receiving schedules, including occasional unscheduled overtime. Must also be willing to work modified shifts, as required by business volumes \nMust have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. \nStrong mechanical aptitude; proficient in the use of hand and power tools. \nPrevious experience in 5-S and Lean Manufacturing is preferred. \nStrong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, prioritizing work, and exercising initiative to ensure an efficient and quality level of service. \nAttention to detail and accuracy, \nBasic computer skill \nEducation:\nNo formal education requirements. \nPhysical Requirements\n Frequent: Standing, walking, handling materials (light and heavy), lifting (light Occasional: Lifting (heavy/assisted >27 kg), carrying, climbing, detailed hand/finger movements, confined work areas, prolonged concentration. \nMust regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift or move coils up to 80 lbs. \nStacking coils up to six feet in height may be required. \nWork Environment\nExposure to a typical manufacturing environment with potential for noise, dirt, dust, temperature changes, and moving mechanical equipment. \nPPE required: steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, safety goggles. \nFrequent deadlines and interruptions. \nOccasional travel and extended hours may be required. \nCompensation & Incentives\nCompetitive wages commensurate with experience. \nQuarterly Bonuses \nSigning and retention bonus totaling $2,000: \n$1,000 payable after six (6) months of continuous employment. \n$1,000 payable after one (1) year of continuous employment. \nCompany Overview\nInfra Pipes has over 60 years of experience specializing in the design, manufacture, and custom fabrication of engineered polyethylene systems for water, wastewater, and stormwater management applications.
