Creating the designs of data & analytics components and processes, specifically:\n\n Practices and frameworks\n\n Vendor and technology solutions/services architecture\n\n Technology implementation approach\n\n Providing global advisory on design and implementation matters\n\n Advisory role in data & analytics programs\n\n Advisory role in data processing standards\n\n Writing vision/position papers\n\nKey responsibilities\n\nArchitecture artefacts lead and delivery\n\n Formulating and testing hypotheses and drawing conclusions to determine appropriate data & analytics solutions/services for ING in a global perspective\n\n Designing global data & analytics platform components ensuring the optimal match between technology, fit-to-infrastructure (feasibility of deployment), costs, user acceptance, measurability, and flexibility/scalability together with a virtual team of architects and engineers\n\n Maintaining and updating the global strategy for data & analytics taking relevant (technological, organisational) changes into consideration as well as keeping pace with innovations and trends in the industry/market\n\nCommunication and verification\n\n Presenting and delivering verbal and written messages to other architects within ING, senior specialists and senior executive management\n\n Defining and presenting final solution and impact on the organisation, and sustaining the rationale for the solution/service\n\n Organising and providing trainings, workshops, video conferences and working with international (virtual) teams on the topic of data & analytics architecture\n\n Building and maintaining a sustainable network of specialists inside and outside ING\n\nIntellectual capital & knowledge sharing\n\n Initiating and leading knowledge sharing activities\n\n Keeping professional knowledge up-to-date and translating external innovations and trends into useable information\n\nRequirements\n\n Fluent in conceptual aspects of data & analytics, specifically on:\n\n Data & analytics architecture practices and frameworks\n\n Database design (RDBMS, SQL and NoSQL)\n\n Google BigQuery and VertexAI\n\n Background in computer science or mathematics/physics\n\n At least 10 years of professional experience in the field of IT, and at least 5 years in the field of data & analytics\n\n Furthermore, the following personal profile:\n\n Ability to take ownership and responsibility\n\n Expertise and demonstrated track-record in driving and steering multidisciplinary teams\n\n Excellent analytical skills and clear way of expressing abstract concepts\n\n Experience in producing and presenting architectures on a conceptual and logical level\n\n Experience in effective communication on senior management level\n\n Excellent writing
