Do you?\nThe Mission\nING’s Payment and Settlement Services (“PSS”) aims to further mature, develop and expand ING’s state of the art payments platforms and settlements services. The PSS focusses on delivering payments and settlement services, meeting the expectations of ING’s business lines and beyond, whilst ensuring the basics: safe, secure, compliant, and reliable. The PSS is an independent unit within ING’s CTO domain, reporting directly into ING’s Chief Technology Officer.\nPSS is responsible for providing standardized payments and settlements services around to multiple ING business lines (WB, Retail, and others). These applications are written using Java, Spring frameworks (e.g., JPA, JMS, Streaming, Batch, etc.) and deployed via Azure DevOps pipeline.\nYour day to day\nEven if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks:\nResponsibility for the full the stack/platform on Development, Test, Acceptance and Production environments. You automate relentlessly: Regression Testing (Functional, Performance, Security), Deployments, and Operations (Data Center failover, Backups/Restore, Security Monitoring, full stack monitoring);\nYou take ownership of life cycle management of all components (O.S., Middleware, Database) as well as security (interface encryption certificates, user access, vulnerability analysis and patching);\nAs part of the Squad you work in an Agile/Scrum way, on the backlog prioritized by a Technical Product Owner, and you demo your features to the Capability Squads that you work with;\nImprove application monitoring using the correct and agreed event alerts (Grafana, Prometheus, Log4all);\nSupport in performing High Availability and Disaster Recovery tests;\nImplement and work with the latest tooling with a strong focus on performance, stability and security;\nFind opportunities to automate the testing of existing features, performance and security as well as the automation of deployments, monitoring, and more;\nUnderstand the root cause for a problem or existing gap for an enhancement and propose a viable solution for it;\nTake ownership of issues and improvements, seeing them through to completion, providing comprehensive handover as required;\nYou assist with technical specifications for change requests and user stories;\nAnalyze requirements and define their applicability inside the technical environment;\nWork on technical improvements (automation, monitoring, setting up environments, Azure DevOps pipelines);\nContinuous deployment and delivery using Azure DevOps;\nIT Risk & security controls need to be put in place and accurately documented, for this you will need to get familiar and keep up to date with the ING Information Security Management Policy;\nComply with all internal guidelines, timely completion all mandatory training and always safeguard the integrity and reputation of ING;\nOccasional travel abroad (Amsterdam).\nWhat you’ll bring to the team\n5+ years’ experience in a DevOps role;\nHands on experience with at least one automation tool (Ansible, Chef, Salt, Terraform, etc);\nCloud Platforms: Experience with Azure DevOPS or Google Cloud;\nMonitoring & Logging: Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar tools;\nYou are highly knowledgeable on Red Hat operating systems and networking.
