You will support the team in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and completeness of financial information across Retail, Wholesale, and Leasing business lines, while contributing to process documentation, internal controls, and reporting activities.\nYou will contribute to:\nSupporting daily and monthly balance sheet reconciliations and accounting controls.\nAssisting with month-end closing activities, including accrual management, reporting updates, data collection, and stakeholder follow-up.\nSupporting the preparation and reconciliation of financial reporting data and uploads into Group reporting systems.\nPerforming data extraction and analysis from accounting and reporting systems, including vendor, intercompany, and cost-related information.\nSupporting the monitoring and analysis of operating expenses, personnel costs, purchase orders, and marketing-related expenses.\nAssisting with accounting controls and reconciliations related to Leasing activities.\nSupporting financial reporting activities across Retail Banking, Wholesale Banking, and Leasing businesses.\nSupporting periodic SOX testing activities, including evidence collection, documentation, and control execution tracking.\nSupporting the collection, organization, and maintenance of documentation related to customer incentive initiatives and accounting assessments.\nContributing to the drafting and updating of accounting procedures, operational manuals, and process documentation.\nSupporting periodic reporting activities and ad hoc analyses required by the Financial Reporting team.\nRequirements\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management Engineering, or related disciplines.\nStrong interest in accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial processes.\nGood analytical and numerical skills.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.\nFluent in Italian and English.\nAbility to work accurately under recurring deadlines and manage multiple activities simultaneously.\nPrevious academic or internship experience in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or Controlling will be considered a plus.\nOur preferred candidate is\nProactive, curious, and eager to learn.\nAnalytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with data.\nOrganized and able to manage routine activities with rigor and consistency.\nCollaborative and able to interact effectively with different stakeholders.\nA problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.\nAble to balance accuracy, quality, and execution.\nInternational exposure (e.g. Erasmus or study abroad experiences) will be considered a plus.\nLocation: Milan (hybrid)\nCompensation: 1500€/month\nAbout ING\nING offers many opportunities to build a diverse and rewarding career.
