Information Risk Manager

Reporting to the Technology Risk Management Lead, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders, helping ensure risks are effectively identified, assessed and managed in line with ING’s risk appetite, regulatory obligations and industry best practice. Working within our Non-Financial Risk team, you’ll influence strategic initiatives, emerging technology adoption, operational resilience programs and key transformation projects across the Bank.

What You'll Do

• Provide independent second line oversight, challenge and advice across Technology Risk and Data Risk governance, policies and risk appetite.
• Review and challenge risk assessments, control effectiveness, incidents, issues and remediation activities across technology and data management domains.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure compliance with ING policies, minimum standards and regulatory requirements, including CPS 220, CPS 230 and CPS 234.
• Conduct deep dives, thematic reviews and assurance activities to assess the effectiveness of key controls and risk management practices.
• Monitor emerging risks, industry trends and regulatory developments, including cyber, technology and AI-related risks, providing timely insights and recommendations.
• Support major business, technology and transformation initiatives by providing expert risk advice and challenge throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build strong relationships across business, technology and risk teams to promote effective risk management and a positive risk culture.

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in Technology Risk, Information Security Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit or a related discipline within Financial Services.
• Strong knowledge of APRA prudential standards including CPS 220, CPS 230 and CPS 234, together with operational resilience and third-party risk management principles.
• Experience providing independent challenge and influencing senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.
• Sound understanding of technology, cyber security, data management and emerging technology risks.
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Technology, Finance, Business or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC or equivalent will be highly regarded.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and drive effective outcomes.
• A collaborative mindset and passion for helping the business manage risk while enabling strategic growth and innovation.
