You will work on real-world engineering challenges and explore how Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, multi-agent systems, orchestration frameworks, and modern software engineering practices can improve productivity, quality, knowledge sharing, and software delivery.\nThe team\nYou will join the Engineering team within ING's Credit Risk domain, working on the modernization of business-critical applications and the adoption of AI-assisted software engineering practices.\nRole and Responsibilities\nDesign AI agents across SDLC phases (Intake, Refinement, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment, Operations) that can be applied across a wide range of business and technology domains, to support developers, testers, BA’s and architects.\nDefine agent responsibilities, inputs, outputs, guardrails, and evaluation criteria.\nCreate prompt libraries, agent definitions, instructions, skills and reusable engineering workflows.\nEvaluate accuracy, consistency, and usefulness of agent outputs.\nMeasure productivity and quality improvements.\nSupport development of governance and responsible-AI practices for engineering agents.\nPresent findings, demos, and recommendations to engineering teams and stakeholders.\nWork closely with engineers, architects, product owners, and engineering leaders.\nParticipate in technical discussions, design reviews, and innovation initiatives.\nHow to succeed\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nPassion for AI and modern software engineering.\nExcellent communication skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.\nAffinity with any programming language (preferably Java), CI/CD, Docker and database concepts.\nExperience with GitHub Copilot (Agents, Skills, custom Instruction files) or comparable agentic coding tools and Model Context Protocol (MCP) is preferred.\nYou are familiar with LLMs (e.g. Claude, Gemini, …), RAG systems, Prompt engineering, and other Agentic AI concepts, including multi-agent systems and orchestration frameworks.\nWhat We Offer\nHands-on experience building real AI solutions.\nExposure to enterprise-scale software engineering and DevOps practices.\nMentoring from engineers and engineering leaders.\nOpportunity to experiment, innovate, and build solutions that may be adopted by engineering teams.\nA collaborative, innovative, and learning-focused environment.\nHybrid and international working environment.\nThe chance to help shape how AI is used in software engineering, in a large international bank.\nRewards and benefits\nThis is a great opportunity to train with highly skilled people who are experts in their field.
