ING is a Dutch banking group formed in 1991 by the merger of the postal bank NMB Postbank and the insurer Nationale-Nederlanden, and it was among the first large banks to build a direct, branch-light retail model. It serves retail customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Spain and several other markets through mobile-first banking, and runs a substantial wholesale bank covering lending, transaction services and financial markets for corporate clients. Headquartered in Amsterdam and listed on Euronext, the group divested its insurance operations after the financial crisis to focus on banking.

ING, Australia’s most recommended bank is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Chief Risk Office in a permanent full-time role. You’ll lead regulatory and strategic change across financial risk disciplines such as credit, market, liquidity, capital and model risk.

Reporting to the Program Manager, and working across Risk, Data, Technology and business teams, you’ll take ownership from planning through implementation and business adoption, with regular exposure to senior and executive stakeholders.

You’ll provide transparent governance and executive reporting to the Program Manager and CRO Management team, coordinate business and technology outcomes, and bring structure, pace and transparency to delivery while navigating complex dependencies, regulatory requirements and competing priorities.

If you’re ready to do something, we’d love to hear from you!!

What you’ll do …

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of Financial Risk initiatives across business, Risk, Data and Technology.
  • Establish clear delivery plans, milestones, dependencies and accountabilities.
  • Drive governance, financial management, executive reporting and timely decision-making.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, resources, costs, scope and delivery constraints.
  • Coordinate regulatory, control and assurance requirements, with clear and traceable evidence.
  • Lead business change, stakeholder engagement, implementation readiness, communications, business acceptance and transition to business-as-usual.

What we’re looking for….

  • Strong experience delivering regulatory change within banking or financial services.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end project ownership, from mobilisation through implementation.
  • Sound commercial, governance, financial and risk-management capability.
  • The maturity and confidence to influence senior stakeholders across Risk, Data, Technology and business teams.
  • Strong judgement, communication and problem-solving skills in complex delivery environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the people and business impacts of change, including stakeholder engagement and adoption.
  • Financial Risk project experience is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Relevant project management qualifications or credentials.

What’s in it for you?

  • Discounted ING Health Insurance.
  • An additional Rest Day to support your wellbeing.
  • An IMPACT Day to volunteer on approved sustainability activity.
