We use tools such as GitHub Copilot and agent-based development to improve delivery, while applying critical thinking, secure engineering and human accountability to every solution.\nRoles and responsibilities\nAs a Senior Java Engineer, you will take end-to-end ownership of the full stack solutions with emphasis on the backend, and raise the engineering standard across the team.\nDesigning and developing scalable backend applications with Java and Spring Boot, including AI-enabled features and intelligent automation.\nShaping technical designs, REST APIs, and integrations with other systems.\nDriving code quality through automated testing, reviews and engineering standards.\nEnsuring solutions are secure, compliant, and resilient, meeting ING's security and risk requirements.\nImproving CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments and production reliability.\nUsing and help spread AI-assisted engineering tools effectively and responsibly to improve delivery.\nMentoring engineers, breaking down complex challenges into achievable steps, and constructively challenging ideas to drive better outcomes.\nTroubleshoot and resolve production incidents using industry-standard observability, monitoring, and logging tools.\nHow to succeed\nWe hire smart people like you for your potential.
