You'll collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, ML Engineers, and Software Engineers to create reliable, production-ready data assets that enable business impact.\nThe data platforms you build contribute to solutions such as customer intelligence, financial crime detection, risk analytics, automation, and other advanced analytics products used across ING's European operations. In return, we'll back you to develop into an even more awesome version of yourself.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience\n\nExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in globally distributed teams\n\nHands-on experience building complex data pipelines using PySpark, Airflow, or similar technologies\n\nStrong programming skills in Python and SQL\n\nExperience designing data models and working with relational or distributed database systems\n\nUnderstanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, version control, and code reviews\n\nHands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as:\n\nBigQuery\n\nCloud Storage\n\nCloud Composer\n\nExperience building scalable cloud-native data solutions\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nCurious mindset and passion for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing\n\nExperience with infrastructure provisioning and deployment automation\n\nExperience with monitoring and observability platforms such as ELK Stack\n\nFamiliarity with MLOps architectures and operational practices\n\nExperience with large-scale data transformation and processing\n\nExposure to AI-powered products including Agentic AI systems, Chatbots, or Voicebots\n\nExperience working with Vertex AI, Dialogflow, or other AI-related GCP services\n\nExperience with event-driven or streaming data architectures\n\nFamiliarity with technologies such as Kafka, Pub/Sub, or Dataflow is a plus\n\nExperience with dbt for data transformation and modelling is considered an advantage\n\nRoles and Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform\n\nBuild and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions for large-scale datasets\n\nDevelop reliable and efficient data models supporting analytics, reporting, machine learning, and AI use cases\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions\n\nImplement modern software engineering practices, including automated testing and CI/CD\n\nMonitor and improve platform reliability, observability, and performance\n\nSupport AI, machine learning, and MLOps initiatives by delivering trusted and accessible data assets\n\nContribute to engineering excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the team\n\nData Platform Evolution\nOur current platform is primarily focused on scalable batch-oriented data processing built on PySpark and Airflow within GCP.
