The focus of your architecture activities will be to establish resilient solution architectures for business and IT problems in line with the ING Belgium and Group strategy.\nA day in the life of an IT Solution Architect\nYou are working in cooperation with IT and Business stakeholders recognizing the correlation / dependencies between their activities. \nYou create your designs in close collaboration with the engineers and Domain Architects, guiding them to the deployment of the design. \nYou drive to make complex changes or projects happen within and across Tribes. Your holistic view as well as your knowledge of both Business and IT are crucial in the translation of business requirements in a sequence that delivers customer value as early as possible. \nYou define and align the roadmaps between squads - from same or different Tribes - and other parts of the organization and thoroughly manage dependencies. \nYou are the connecting pin between colleagues having different expertise in self-steering teams (squads). Your colleagues will be IT Integrators, IT Solution Architects, Engineers, Domain Architects, Product Owners or Squad Masters, Developers, Customer Journey Experts, etc. \nYou are a driver of the solution approach (together with squads) using in-depth knowledge of Business and IT such as architecture, application landscapes, infrastructure, business operations and legislation. \nHow to succeed\nWe hire smart people like you for your potential. In return, we’ll back you to develop into an even more awesome version of yourself.\nAs a Solution Architect, you will also need:\nAt least 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in solution architecture, software engineering, or IT delivery. \nAffinity with architectural practices, solution design, and translating business requirements into sustainable technology solutions. \nTOGAF, ArchiMate, and/or Public Cloud certifications are considered a plus. \nBroad interest in banking technology, with knowledge of domains such Know Your Customer (KYC) being an asset. \nProficient in English (ING's corporate language) and Dutch or French. \nStrong behavioural competencies: collaboration, communication, stakeholder management, innovation, and the ability to navigate complexity and drive pragmatic decision-making. \nStrong technical competencies with attention to architecture principles, data, privacy, security, scalability, performance, resilience, cost and ethics. Able to work autonomously and act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner for engineers, product teams, and fellow architects. \nAbility to design end-to-end solutions, balance functional and non-functional requirements, and document architectural decisions in a clear and structured manner. \nAs a Solution Architect, you will have the opportunity to:\nContribute actively in INGs strategic goals and objectives on a daily basis. \nWork with likeminded colleagues from who you will learn a lot of their experience. \nHave the opportunity to further increase your knowledge by attending both internal or external training opportunities. \nDemonstrate your value and grow within the organisation. \nHave the ability to work on a mix of change/project initiatives. \nThe team\nYou will be in a team of IT Solution Architects and Domain Architects.
