You will drive the technical delivery of agentic solutions, establish engineering standards, and build reusable capabilities that enable ING to rapidly scale Agentic AI across countries, business domains, and customer journeys.\nThis is a unique opportunity to help shape ING's Agentic AI strategy and build the next generation of intelligent banking capabilities.\nThe team\nYou will be part of the Agentic Products Delivery organization within Data & Analytics.\nThe team is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering end-to-end agentic products that automate, augment, and optimize business processes across ING. We focus on building scalable products rather than one-off solutions, leveraging reusable platforms, common orchestration patterns, and shared AI capabilities.\nWorking in a BizDevOps environment, we take end-to-end ownership from ideation through deployment and transition into operations. We collaborate closely with Product Leads, Architects, Data Scientists, Platform Engineering, Security, Risk, and Operations teams to deliver secure, compliant, and high-impact solutions.\nRoles and responsibilities\nAs Tech Lead, you will:\nLead multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering Agentic Products from concept to production. \nDefine and execute the technical roadmap for Agentic Product Delivery in alignment with business and technology strategy. \nTranslate business opportunities into scalable product architectures and delivery plans. \nDrive engineering excellence through modern software engineering, AI engineering, and cloud-native development practices. \nEstablish reusable engineering patterns, frameworks, and delivery standards for agentic product development. \nEnsure solutions are secure, resilient, scalable, compliant, and operationally ready. \nCollaborate with Product Leads, Architects, Data Scientists, and Platform teams to deliver business outcomes at speed. \nGuide engineering teams through complex technical decisions and architectural challenges. \nDrive adoption of shared platforms, orchestration capabilities, and foundational AI building blocks. \nCoach and mentor engineers while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. \nEnsure delivery teams effectively balance innovation, quality, risk management, and time-to-market objectives. \nContribute to ING's long-term vision for Agentic AI, intelligent automation, and AI-powered banking. \nHow to succeed\nWe hire smart people like you for your potential. In return, we'll back you to develop into an even more awesome version of yourself.\nYou are successful in this role when you:\nDeliver scalable agentic products that create measurable business value. \nBuild high-performing engineering teams that consistently deliver quality outcomes. \nSuccessfully translate emerging AI technologies into secure and production-ready solutions. \nCreate reusable technology capabilities that accelerate future product delivery. \nFoster strong collaboration across business, technology, risk, and operational stakeholders. \nDrive continuous improvement across engineering practices, delivery performance, and product quality. \nKey Skills & Qualifications\nLeadership & Delivery\nProven experience leading software engineering, AI engineering, platform engineering, or product development teams. \nStrong track record delivering complex enterprise technology products at scale. \nExperience building and coaching high-performing engineering teams in Agile and DevOps environments. \nExcellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to align business, technology, and risk stakeholders. \nAbility to lead through ambiguity and drive execution in fast-evolving technology domains. \nStrong communication, influencing, and decision-making capabilities. \nAgentic AI & Engineering Expertise\nExperience designing and delivering AI-powered products, intelligent automation solutions, or agentic systems. \nUnderstanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI orchestration patterns, prompt engineering, and agent frameworks. \nExperience implementing human-in-the-loop, agent supervision, evaluation, monitoring, and governance capabilities. \nKnowledge of AI risk management, model governance, explainability, and responsible AI principles. \nStrong understanding of API-first architectures, event-driven systems, microservices, and distributed architectures. \nGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)\nExperience with Google Cloud technologies relevant to Agentic AI delivery, including:\nVertex AI for model development, tuning, evaluation, deployment, and Agent Builder capabilities. \nGemini models and enterprise AI platform services. \nAgent Development Kit (ADK) and agent orchestration frameworks. \nCloud Run and GKE for scalable deployment of AI workloads and agent services. \nBigQuery for data analytics, agent memory, and retrieval use cases. \nAlloyDB, Cloud SQL, and vector-enabled databases supporting RAG architectures. \nPub/Sub and Eventarc for event-driven agent workflows. \nApigee for API management and enterprise integration. \nCloud Storage and Document AI for document-centric AI solutions. \nCloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and operational observability for AI workloads. \nIAM, Security Command Center, and cloud security controls supporting regulated environments. \nTechnical Expertise\nStrong experience with software engineering, cloud-native development, CI/CD, DevOps, and platform engineering practices. \nExperience building highly available, scalable, and resilient enterprise solutions. \nUnderstanding of security-by-design, privacy-by-design, and operational resilience requirements. \nExperience with containerization, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and automated deployments. \nFamiliarity with observability, telemetry, monitoring, and engineering quality frameworks. \nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. \nMinimum 8 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, AI engineering, or technology delivery. \nMinimum 3 years of leadership experience as a Tech Lead, Engineering Lead, IT Lead, or equivalent role. \nDemonstrated experience delivering cloud-native products within enterprise-scale environments. \nExperience within financial services or another highly regulated industry is advantageous. \nOur biggest challenge to you\nYou will not simply deliver projects.
