Graduate Structural Engineer

Rendel Ingerop Pty Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join our highly qualified and expanding team across Australia. As a subsidiary of Rendel Ltd and part of the Ingérop Group, we are a multidisciplinary design and engineering consultancy. Rendel is headquartered in the UK, with our Australia team operating across several offices throughout Australia. Rendel’s origins date back to 1838 and our projects in Australia date back to 1952. Today, we are proud to provide client-focused engineering and technical solutions on major engineering construction projects worldwide in the infrastructure, energy and industry sectors. The Ingérop Group has over 3,500 across Australia, Europe and the rest of the world.

Our experience includes bridges, tunnels, ground engineering, highways, ports, industry, energy and rail. Our team is currently working on major projects including Lumsden Point Wharf General Cargo Facility, Port Waratah Wharf Upgrade, Geraldton CBH Wharf Upgrade, Parramatta Light Rail 2 and Commonwealth Avenue Bridge Renewal.

Your responsabilities :

• Undertake projects in Australia and internationally across a range of structures including bridges, buildings,

  tunnels, underground structures and maritime.

• Structural design, assessments and finite elements analysis using various software across a broad range of

  structural types

• Structural inspection and onsite works supervision in Australia
• Adopt procedures for standardisation of work products and deliverables, and peer review to ensure

  consistency and excellence in service delivery of the Company’s technical work product

• Adhere to Company procedures in the management, delivery and administration of Services
• Embrace organisational change and appropriately modify behaviour and attitudes as required
• Have an understanding and awareness of the company values and business plan and your contribution to both
• Observe and maintain Company Health and Safety Policy across all activities
• Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by your assignment or line manager

• Distinction or higher Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline
• Basic knowledge of Australian Standards and other national and international industry standards
• Basic awareness of forms of contract, construction methodologies and civil engineering procedures
• Desire to work in a consultancy environment on large scale infrastructure projects
• Competent in the use of CAD and MS Office programmes and ability to develop competence in use of proprietary structural analysis programmes to suit specific role requirements
• Strong problem solving abilities, analytical and numeracy skills; highly results orientated
• Good interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders
• Able to work under pressure and ensure deadlines are met whilst maintaining high quality work
• Strong team working to contribute to and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
